I'll actually defend Hunter here and say he is a better pairing with Horn than Johnson would be.

Johnson is a bigger more physical corner while Hunter is smaller and faster.

We have the big physical corner in Horn, and most teams don't have two big imposing WRs you need to be physical with, so pairing him with a speedster who would better align with what we already have.

Not that I wouldn't want Johnson if we can't get T-Mac in the end, but just saying I think it would be duplicating a little bit of what we already have.

And yea, if you love Colorado, a school/players you have zero connection to, more than I love maybe the best player in school history, from the school I graduated from, then it would be a really bad sign for you, not me, lol

The fact that my NFL team could be in a position to draft that player and is at a position of need for them as well, yea... I'm going to defend him at any and every opportunity.

It's not often the best player in your school's history might get drafted by your favorite NFL team.

If we don't draft him, T-Mac is going to be the only player who has a chance to take over my "favorite non Panther in NFL history" from Gronk.  But even then, it's going to be real hard if not impossible for him to do that, seeing as Gronk not only turned out to be the best TE of all time, his 2 years in college (injured his whole 3rd season and didn't play) were my last 2 years in school, so I got to watch him in person in college too.

Gronk is also the only other Arizona football (or basketball) player that I've ever talked about being so sure they'll be a superstar in the pros like I have with T-Mac.  That's how sure I am of him being a star, it's one of those things that's hard to exactly put into words, but watching them, they just look and feel different.

I was telling my friends Gronk was the next big TE after literally his first college game as a Freshman when he carried 3 players hanging on his back almost 10 yards.  You could just see it right away, there was something different about him, and I see it in T-Mac as well.

To be honest Micheal Jackson hasn’t been bad and I wouldn’t mind keeping him instead of using a 1st round pick on a CB.. I would love to treat the front 7 and run and pass rush like we treated the Oline last year.. I would grab a safety at some point in this draft thoe..

The thought of Horn/Hunter DB tandem seems more dynamic than Brown/Graham tandem.

The need for a stout front seven on Defense outweighs the need for a top tier CB at this time. Get the Dline right and stop the run/ pressure the QB, will make the biggest difference.

Add a CB in the mid rounds. Not having to cover wideouts forever with a good pass rush makes a big difference.

Agree. A solid front 4 or 5 will cover a lot of other deficiencies in the back 6 or 7.

And isn't Johnson dealing with an injury, or is he back 100% yet? Turf toe is a lingering injury. I just feel snake bitten at this point. If he doesn't have a clean bill of health, then don't touch in the 1st or 2nd.

      Rourke on down are fine to pick up at 200 or later, imo value vs what we got in plummer. i think beck drops like a rock and someone takes a stash on that guy. im still ok with ewers, but not in rnd 1 and hes gone before we pick again. and no dont move up or down to go get him. 50s well thats a different and i would understand the appeal.

      watched Blackshear in college, cant believe he stuck. congrats to him, but he's a ST guy at best. Tuten is a low profile guy. unfortunately i dont think i would draft him as i fear the meds. VT RBs are run down in college the last 3 decades. hes a shorter lighter guy. idk if he can 100% stick at the NFL level, but he has been nothing short of impressive, when healthy, at VT and there shitty pass game. he carried that offense for stretches the last 2 years. ollie gordon is an interesting guy that gets very little draft press this year. already a good reciever out of the backfield and great record on the ground the last 2 years. think he slides as he didnt backup the 2023 numbers on a bad team and hes a guy that needs a strong OL to realy highlight what he can do to a secondary. hes a load that looks for contact, but needs that runway to get going. start stop and hard cuts are not his thing. good/great in pass pro, and competent hands. backend of 5, sure take the flier, if you get him a runway with the line we have, he could produce on all phases. and my best for last is nick singleton. he was a monster as a true freshman at PSU. good not great overall production the last 2 years, but that RB room is stacked and both guys split carries. really developed as a blocker and pass catcher this year. take gordon and add the start stop and agility, but with lot less carries overall. personally he's up in the top 5 for me this class. if he drops to the 5th, sprint the card up. i think if we didnt heavily invest in the position, rnd 4 would be fine if he fell there too. i could see him taken early based on a big time combine, freshman year production, and great rate production every year. hes a little more boom, bust and still figuring stuff out, but PSU has such a crazy amount of talent in the RB room, he hasnt had the game reps of others to fully figure it out.

      For morale sure, but those games are understandable, losing points to doo doo will hurt more if they need it come April.    Given how bad our goaltending has been and the defensive lapses... I'm not upset if we drop a game or two to the defending champs.
