He’s a little more tolerable now that it’s not his entire life’s mission to take potshots at Jerry Richardson.

I miss that guy

I wish he had spent the last half decade taking shots at Tepper.  But Tepper took that off the table.  Gannt would have been awesome covering this team while not employed by Carolina.

It would have been a bloodbath!

A couple big things for me down the stretch that have happened...

1.  It seems like the team has bought into Canales. The worry was always "does the positivity remain when the losses happen"? Seems like they trust him and he's getting that buy in.

2.  I almost "wanted" Bryce to throw an interception at some point, just to see how he'd bounce back. Part of me was waiting on a meltdown Sunday after the pick to see Bryce scared again. Maybe hopefully he's turned the corner there, because we all know how he came back and finished that game.

Very good point.

Yeah, he sucked at playing football in the nfl.

Well that's certainly obvious. But to give up on a 2nd round pick half way through his 2nd season is hasty. Unless he's a malcontent or they really do have plans to upgrade the receiving corps next season and he isn't in the plans.

I'd guess it's a combination of lack of progress from Mingo, Coker/Sanders showing promise, drafting XL, and the fact the Cowboys offered a fourth round pick for him. The potential return from another draft pick - especially when your fourth round pick this last draft has already shown more than what Mingo has - is likely higher than whatever Mingo's ceiling likely will be.

Changing the culture was always going to be the hard part.  Usually the wins have to come first, but this is a sign that they’re truly buying in and that’s nothing to scoff at.

This could be a much bigger deal than most are willing to admit.  Maybe, just maybe, the darkest days are behind us.

Ditto that, L-TC.

I think starting from the bottom of the hole they were in last year and climbing their way out the way they are together is what is going to be creating a winning culture.

Tough times come, but when you start out in the tough times you'll better understand how to navigate every other time together.

This struggle is the bonding experience needed to become a team that will be damn near impossible to beat.

I agree with that.
