Velus Jones Jr.

Former 3rd Rounder from Chicago. Played WR/RB/KR/PR. Known for some pretty big muffs on returns his first year. Signed off Jacksonville's PS to our active roster.

Trent Irwin

Was coached by Idzik at Stanford. Spent most of his time with the Bengals, mostly as a returner. According to Rapoport, he is expected to be on the 53 soon.

Velus is more of a RB than WR

Neither of these guys are much of anything

Velus hands are worse than Legette’s.

Agreed. I think he was brought in for KRs. I think Irwin will do punts and add an extra set of hands to the WR room. Irwin has good hands, he just struggled to get open in Cinci.

One of these guys will handle kick a punt returns because Blackshear must be more banged up the was reported.

I think Blackshear plays this week but maybe limited and with injuries to Sanders and Brooks you don't want your RB2 returning punts too. I think we go Chubba, Boone, and Blackshear as the backs and these bums we picked up for returns.

Have they brought Boone up from the PS?
