How I see things, this year is his true rookie season. Most of what the prior staff taught him is probably of little value now and his 2023 on-field experiences - if anything - taught him more bad habits than good. It's almost as though BY needed to flush all that out of himself and start all over again. That's why I'm not obsessing about raw numbers because he is still very much learning how to play the game properly with just enough good pieces around him that he can make something out of it.

We used to have a QB that did stuff like this a lot. In fact, one of the reasons I became a fan of this team.

Not going to declare we've gone full circle yet but I'd be lying if it doesn't feel like a blast from the past.

But it's not his true rookie season. His true rookie season counted and where it counted most was on his contract. That's a year of rookie salary cap that we can't get back. We're in week 14 of year 2 and are finally seeing good football from Bryce. We should not be going into year 3 asking ourselves if he can be the guy or if this is a flash in the pan type grouping of games. We need to see a full 3rd season of what we've seen the past few games. If he keeps playing like he is, we're probably going to be hearing about an extension somewhere early season 4. Personally, I'd like more than a single complete season of elite level play before we end up having to drop a 6 year, 360M contract.

Well good news, we don't have to pay him now and can have him on a rookie contract for 2 more years before thinking about an extension.  We've been seeing him play increasingly better since Week 8, and he's right on schedule as far as I'm concerned.  I would have liked this to be more linear progression, but what we're seeing now is an exponential growth line that I'm really excited about.

Funniest thing is that it's not just the pundits, fans of other teams are seeing it and even saying he outplayed Hurts yesterday and you have Huddlers in denial

That’s because people here claimed he was a bust early in his rookie season and rode that into this year. Now that he’s playing at a much higher level they refuse to admit they’re wrong and will continue to bash him

One of the biggest differences I see in him now is the ability to move up into the pocket in the face of pressure and quickly process/see an "NFL open" receiver.  He may have seen them before, but he was cautious to throw.  Now he just let's it fly.

Something just clicked or perhaps watching Andy take those shots encouraged him to go out there and rip.

The best descriptor of where I'm at with him and the team is "encouraged" and that's a great feeling for a change.

Ding ding ding

No joke, he’s about 2 more games like this away from me penning an apology letter.

Some people double down on prior statements because they don’t want to admit they were wrong. Me tho, I got no problem and will be very excited if I am wrong.

just want to see a bit more of those, that’s all.

I confess that I had thrown in the towel on Bryce after the second game; I didn’t think he was salvageable.  I have never been happier to be proven wrong.  Kudos to Bryce for hanging in there and getting some redemption and recognition.

We don't have to worry about picking up a 5th year option for another 2 years let alone an extension. Unless he is amazing we won't be extending early.  No urgency at all. Mahomes didn't even play until year 2 and Love sat the bench for years.

That's not really on him, though. Whatever plan we devised for him from the beginning blew up in our faces and that's time we don't get back. If anything, we should feel fortunate that we're seeing some progress we can build upon rather than starting all over again because I doubt even the most optimistic fan saw this coming after how disastrous it looked like at the start of the season. At the minimum, we are still going to have two more years before we worry about extensions which he's going to have to earn. That said, it's the team's responsibility to give him enough to take another step forward.

I was one of those who said that, he was playing like a bust

But it looks like Caneles fixed him , and I was 100% wrong , get him some better weapons and we will cook

Falcons DC Jimmy "Career Day" Lake is the worst DC in Falcons history and he has to be the first to go, like today!

5 tds Vikings, 4tds Broncos, Career Days!

How many tds will his prevent nothing defense give up to the Raiders QB? (no matter who the QB is)

Carolina Young is lickin his chops to play this shitty defense.

The Falcons defense in the past would always make every Qb look like the next Joe Montana, but he is on another level.

The only way his defense stops somebody is if Bates makes an int, or he causes a fumble.

Mr. Blank shopping at Kmart "blue light" special for Coaches  didn't work.  Thanks McKay and Co.!

This last week against Minn was the most embarassing defensive things I ever seen to happen to the Falcons D in a game.

Plus, it's been on repeat every day since the game ended!
