Bryce Young resurgence recognized in the media

Bryce is not playing like Bryce before the benching.

There was a level of temerity there that honestly I didn't think he had it in him to overcome. He was playing scared, like the game was too big for him.

Bryce before the benching would not have been able to deliver a throw knowing he was going to get hit. Bryce after the benching steps up into pressure, keeps his eyes down field and delivers an accurate strike, and then gets leveled.

When Bryce before the benching ran, he looked like he was fleeing. Bryce after the benching looks like he's escaping.

There's no other way to describe it. I'm not looking at the same player before and after the benching. I don't know what the cause for it is, but Bryce is playing with confidence, excitement, and playing the game at a very high level. I never would have believed I'd be saying this earlier this season, but I think he's our QB.

I agree, he looked absolutely lost and overwhelmed in first two weeks.  This is a completely different player now.

He's in control now. This is the Bryce we saw at Alabama. This current Bryce can definitely be a franchise QB. I think the benching was the best thing that could have happened.

If XL makes that diving TD catch we win the game point blank. This kid is proving he belongs. I don't get why people still want to hate on him.

I think you meant to say - If XL stays on his feet and just catches the ball with his hands and walk into the endzone to take the lead, and the defense doesn't give up a FG with 45 seconds remaining in the game.

Agree. I don't get why folk are hating on Bryce right now. I was down on him after the first 2 games. But he's playing really good football right now. Really good.

The time spent watching Andy was invaluable to him.

You can just see he has such a better handle on what he's supposed to be doing. In college, he was so good, and his team was so good, he didn't have to do as much pre-snap as he is doing now. What really excites me is the way he's doing this. It's not raw ability, it's chess. He can play this brand of football for a long time. For the love of god let's keep investing in the offensive line.

XL did this in Vegas on a 2pt conversion I believe and I knew right then and there he didn’t trust his hands at all

Since then he’s continued to leave his damn feet every single time. He hasn’t trusted his hands from the start so this might be more than just the yips

I would love to have to come here and say I was totally wrong.  That would mean he’s become a star and well worth the cost we paid.

Hes getting better each week and he’s piloting the team into positions to win.  I’m very encouraged by what I’m seeing but too jaded to formally declare his arrival.

I want to see this level of play when the games aren’t meaningless.
