I think the word is getting out so I expect that the teams on the remaining schedule will take us seriously.

I do think this is an underestimated reason for how we've looked the last few weeks.

We got KC coming off their first loss and probably expecting us to be a cake walk and likely had a post-Buffalo hangover all week

We also got Philly coming off a win on the road in Baltimore and the week before hosting the Steelers in Philly, talk about your classic trap game scenario.

Yes we've improved the last few weeks, but I don't think it's 100% on us, I think some of it has been lack of proper motivation/focus from the other teams.

I think we have a big edge on Dallas since they have no run offense. I think if they lose this week they are technically eliminated. Would love to be the ones that make it official for them.

Arizona- who knows. Their season is about over and they don’t play well outside in December often.

Tampa- who knows- game was handed to them the first time.

Atlanta- By the looks of things they are falling completely apart and could be a win.

I’ll get poo’ed I know.

1. this is the perfect scenario where bad teams may get a little high on themselves and get their doors get blown off.

2. Panthers history with Dallas in the regular season is not exactly great.

Dallas is playing bad ball currently, but they’re still Dallas. Panthers always get screwed by the refs when they play.

My head and heart are conflicted.

A you’re a real life hater I have a couple buddies like you but least we can be real about it when we talk to each other.

We’ve been looking good because teams are overlooking us man I’ve seen silly sht before then there’s your azz, Philly playing for number two seed overall maybe number one if Detroits falters anywhere in the next five games while Minn is tied with Philly for 2nd seed. With all that at stake they literally overlooked us Vic Fangio known as a top defensive coordinator didn’t have his guys ready.

KC coming off a loss didn’t take us seriously bc they just lost and had a post buffalo hangover the best team in the last 3 years had a hangover from one loss when they play for field position each year in the playoffs, lets get this right a team who we know is going for home field throughout the entire playoffs has a chance to loose that with a loss to us a week after losing and they’re still thinking about the game from the previous week oh ok. I use to joke about yall using mushrooms before responding on here but you’re taking it to a level of drug use I can’t comprehend that sounds so got d dumb one team was having a losing hangover the other was unfocused from winning wtf man just stop it’s getting closer to goofy talk then football talk.
Our 6 week stretch of playing good football is partially about other teams not taking us serious (proper motivation/lack of focus from our opponents) So each team we’ve faced recently is coming in unprepared from coaching bc that’s a coaching issue to not have your guys locked in and ready to play.

6 different teams including the back to back champs Unprepared best coach in the league didn’t have his guys ready Tampa a top five offense didn’t have their guys ready to play so that’s why we ended up in OT about to win until Chubba coughed up the rock yea I see how they didn’t take us seriously. That argument works in the NBA it doesn’t fly in the NFL that much especially not 6 weeks in a row. The Not For Long league means you preform subpar a couple games in a row you’re likely going to be cut or out the league real real fast every play every game matters tremendously in the NFL rarely do you see a team say oh we didn’t have it today maybe a quarter or a half but with only 17 games a season you know to be focused as ever each week bc your jobs always on the line. You don’t have to give any credit to the Panthers just please stop saying the stupidest thing you can think of to discount how we’ve played since Bryce has settled down and sees the field much better and our defense got a little healthier. I guess this weekend you’ll say Dallas wanted to lose to move up in draft placement when we beat the cowboys in Dallas I can’t wait to hear your goofy assessment of why we won it’s becoming comedy you making excuses for how we’ve preformed. Denial is a ugly place to live in but only you can pull yourself up out of that dark place.

This game and the Jaguars will combine to go a long way in deciding where we end up drafting.

If we lose this game and then lose out, we're picking no worse than 4th with a real shot at moving up higher.  If we beat Dallas and then lose out (or lose to Dallas and then have an upset win), then the Jaguars will end up having a serious say in where we draft.

As the 3 win Jags still play the 2 win Raiders, 3 win Titans, and 3 win Jets.

All of those teams will likely have higher SOS than we will, so even if we get to 4 wins, we'll pick higher than all of those teams if we end up with the same records.

Ideal scenario is we lose out, Raiders beat the Jags, nothing else matters and we're at worst picking 3rd.

If we win a game, ideal scenario would be Jags beat Raiders and then lose to the Titans and Jets, as then we're still picking 5th at worst if the Browns lose out, if they win one (like a home game against Miami in week 17), we'd still be picking 4th even with a win in these final 4 games.

Wild ass stat from yesterday is Jags won a game vs titans where mac Jones went 0 TD and 2 INT lol

    • I only have the vaguest idea of what that's like. Years ago, both my kneecaps popped out of their grooves while I was running on a treadmill. The pain was pretty bad at the beginning but it got so bad, I thought I was 100 years old with how excruciating it was to walk anywhere. Thankfully, I only needed special knee braces to pop everything back into place.  Saints have kept finding ways to be relevant despite their chronic cap issues. I'll believe it when we start seeing their throwback jerseys again.
    • yeah it was wild, folks coping that stroud wont be top level cause he cried when a guy got a knee injury. like WTF folks. thats one of those alex smith type, oh poo this is really bad moments that the guys who have seen leg injuries even knew was anything but normal.  sucks cause dell is a great story, mid rounder who always kills it. also that little guy that just makes plays all year long.
    • Off my memory, this team has generally not been able to run a screen that works to save their life. I still remember Cam got picked off a few times trying to run one. Probably the most consistent YAC concept we've ever had was Smitty's smoke routes; those were borderline cheat codes at times. That's about all I remember for the entire season. Meanwhile, I get envious of watching teams like the Rams and Chiefs. Constant little checkdowns and then it's 10~15 yards with defenders either seemingly out of place or well blocked.
