Jonathan Brooks injury

12 months is a long time for an ACL rehab in 2024. Something likely happened in that surgery or recovery that was always going to lead here. Pull a Thomas Davis and have them make that poo out of patellar this time.

Yeah, being out that long and popping it so soon again after coming back with limited usage is very alarming.

It's all about luck man...Look at Payton Wilson flying all over the fields and all the teams are so scared to draft him because of the injuries history......

But again, using the high picked for the injury RB is a reached........and we could come out with the 10 yrs center from that 2nd........oh well......

Adrian Peterson was a freak of nature who also came back from the ACL tear way earlier than Brooks. Using Peterson as an example for anything is crazy. Brooks isn’t Peterson.

I never said he was Adrian Peterson.

But he's in a professional league now with physicians that excel at repairing this injury type due to its frequency.

People acting like this injury is automatically a career ending injury haven't paid attention to this surgery/procedure over the last decade...

I dont think it was a horrible pick. Chuba had shown flashes, but none of us knew he would be this good. Also we didn't really trade up to get him. We traded back up after trading back. We still ended up in the positive with picks after the trade, if memory serves me right. Brooks was picked pretty close to where he was expected to go. If not for the injury he would have likely been a 1st round pick. Sometimes you have to go for the risky pick. I thought the pick was great and was looking forward to seeing him play. You can never have too many weapons. Wish him the best and hopefully the pick will eventually work out. I feel like this draft was pretty solid, in comparison to others. Legette is in a funk, but has shown flashes of being really good. Sanders is looking like a steal, and Wallace looks like he could become a solid starter. Even a few of the late rounders have shown some promise to be able to contribute.

Dan's biggest blunder so far. I don't think any fans thought we were drafting Brooks, and with the preexisting ACL injury that pick was stunning. Why risk it on a RB out of all the positions we needed? A lot of fans didn't like the pick at the time for all the obvious reasons, but now our worst fears our confirmed. His knee is probably going to end his career, and even if it doesn't, we're never going to get our draft capital's worth out of him. Two seasons out of his rookie contract are probably down the drain, and there is guarantee he won't blow his knee out a third time. No more bad knee RBs. Stop it Dan. Put down the phone.

Brutal injury and I feel for the kid . But I agree with the others that this was a luxury pick from the start. I get what Morgan was trying to do but it was so far a swing and miss. I'm all for adding a late rounder rb maybe with a 5th but no more early picks on rb.

Hopefully he comes back with a vengeance. But I'm feeling pessimistic on this front. Football is a brutal sport
