He’s doing well for a 2nd year QB with bad WRs.

He’s not elite, but the potential is there.

I disagree, he doesn't have the physical tools, his "potential" is severely limited because of that fact.

Before these last few weeks he's been so bad that people are confusing serviceable with true franchise QB potential.

He was the #1 overall pick and he's looking barely serviceable at the end of his 2nd season, that's not a good thing, he should have been looking like this from game 1 last year.

He's looking much better. I'm still very skeptical that he'll prove to be a high level starter.

This dude has to beat the best team in football with a limited roster just to be called serviceable.

So in other words it's not much else he can do to win you over. It's damn near impossible. I was once a Bryce doubter. I don't know how you can watch these last several weeks and not come away impressed.

We are judging him with a limited roster. If he actually had talent around him we probably win most of those games. The fact he's keeping us in games vs the top teams Chiefs/Eagles is impressive imo.

Not sure if he's gonna do it long-term, but right now he looks like a franchise QB. Sorry it's just what I see at the moment.

I was an apologist last year. I certainly didn’t think he shouldered none of the blame for the poo show we all endured. He was not put in a good situation to succeed between the offensive line, coaching scheme/playing calling, etc., but he also wasn’t playing well enough. Those things can both be true at the same time, and all the deficiencies can reinforce and amplify one another.

But I was out on him after Game 2 this year. To come into the season with a much improved situation and a whole offseason of being within a pro football infrastructure, his play those two games was unacceptable.

So color me very surprised that he’s returned from his benching and played this way. Something has clearly clicked. He’s got more improving to do, but anyone who remains a full on hater is ignoring a lot of good tape that he’s putting out. Whether he can perform more consistently remains to be seen, but he’s showing that he can be a functional NFL QB working from the pocket, who can also excel outside of structure.

Obviously you want more out of the No. 1 overall than a mid-level starter. I think he has the potential to be more. Probably not an elite level ceiling, but an above average one. He’s not there yet, but there’s hope. He could also plateau where he’s at. Or regress. We just don’t know.

Serious question: those of you that think that he's "just serviceable", have you watched the last 3 weeks? Have you watched any other teams? I'm just not really getting it.

It's too early to say he's some franchise saving QB, but he's balling. And being let down by his supporting cast or he'd be 4-2 since coming back.

Exactly and everyone is blaming XL (who played bad) but no blame on Bryce throwing that INT that could be argued lost us the game more than XL did. I’ve said multiple times he’s improved drastically but everyone is acting like he’s the second coming. He’s been solid and that’s what we should go off of.

Fair. That really pisses me off. I'm not sure what Hubbard can do to atone for that fumble (though, granted, Pineiro turned into a horrible kicker the moment he had the accuracy record, so he'd definitely have missed). Legette is a rookie, and yet he's also a lost cause. Nobody with hands this bad ever turns it around. Move him to RB with the rest of them out.

Wait, what are the physical limitations of CMC when coming into the league? He has a 8.52 RAS. It's ok if you don't want to say it. 😂

Well, he was drafted in the top 10 which means featured 3 down RB….and he wasn’t built for that life when we drafted him.   Good as a rookie but seemed to fit more of niche role than an every down RB.  His rookie year he went down with relative ease when people got their hands on him between the tackles.

which he realized and came into year 2 significantly bigger and stronger.  Which made all the difference.
