7TDs, 7INTs on the season, under 200 yards passing again today.

The bar is so low around here.

The D is playing way above its talent level, the OLine is fantastic and Hubbard has 1,000 yards already. Everything points back to one thing being a big problem, but apparently I'm now in the minority pointing it out.

I’m evaluating him off his return from benching….last 6 games

check his last 6 vs the last 6 of Stroud, Richardson, Caleb and everyone young QB

Why can't people simply see this?   Instead of brilliant balling outplayed mahomes hurts etc.   He's raised his play to top 20 nfl starter

Top 20 starters? What division would he be the 3rd best QB in?

Bryce Young, Caleb Williams, Daniel Jones, Kyler Murray, Trevor Lawrence, Drake Maye, DeShaun Watson, and Gardner Minshew are the bottom of the league starters for their divisions to start 2024. Young is better than Minshew. Young is easily 30 at best. There will be rookie QBs better than Young in 2025.

Young is trying to edge out back up QBs in 2025 like Cooper Rush, Jameis Winston, and Andy Dalton.

Can you give me a key area of a QBs game that he has at least established consistency - nevermind improvement relative to the league? TO% over a few games is all I see, and that will have to be greater over the course of 10+ games to matter.

He’s still won only 4 games so I mean the jury is still out for awhile right now. Statistically he’s on track for an epically awful first two seasons. But he’s at least passing the eye test and playing competitive football. The biggest step up is that he’s actually throwing and converting some passes.

6 weeks ago I would have taken a conditional 7th to never see him on the sideline ever ago.

I don't know that he'll ever contend for an MVP or anything but in reality, if we win these last 3 games including today (which he has played more than well enough to do) we are right in the thick of the division race and tied for first with our eyes on playing postseason football.

That is insane to say out loud and should be the bare minium for us as soon as next year. Contending for the division.

Defenses have adjusted to the 2010-2020 passing explosiveness. I think we'll see some rebounding there but overall, run games are also back. It's why I don't really care if Bryce has "only" 191 yards.

I'm not crowning him, either - I just think it's ridiculous to say he's "serviceable" when he's kept us in games, putting us in a place to win, against three very good opponents the last three weeks.

I do hope Canales get a chance to pick the other QBs for the room. I'm less interested in a competition at this point exactly, versus having Canales really get a shot to choose the other QBs going into camp.

I think on this issue we clearly agree more than we disagree. I will say that as far as Bryce Young the last several games goes I'm definitely less concerned about his passing ability as I was before and he's clearly more confident about throwing the ball up and down the field which is obviously a welcome sight. But if I'm being honest and removing homer shades it still seems like his arm ceiling is a Bridgewater level. That isn't to say we can't win with that. It's just to say there's no reason we shouldn't have an insurance policy of sorts for the position in our back pocket so to speak. We must learn from the last two offseasons and I very much hope that will be the case. That's nothing personal against Bryce and the progress he's made it's just about what's doing best for the franchise going forward. That's what it should always be about.

I’d say stroud and Maye have done similar if not slightly better their last 5 or 6 games. I would say Maye has been slightly better because he has far less to work with. Nix has also out performed him. But Bryce has played better than Williams which is awesome haha.

I have some concerns in overall talent level too, but I'd say that has not at all been the reason for our last 3 losses, and I think that in general he has shown significant improvement, so who knows. And I think he's got a lot more overall talent than Teddy - in terms of play extending ability etc.

One thing for sure tho, he is way more willing to go deep than Two Gloves was (at least here).

If you think any QB would be putting up better numbers than Bryce in this offense, you are delusional. Today for the first time I found myself only trusting Bryce as my QB. And if not for a horrible drop, he would have had one of the best 4th quarter game winning drives in Panthers history. 98 yards with the would be TD oass  to Legette being an absolute 40 yard dime.  People talk about consistency? He has consistently led this team to potential game winning drives 3 weeks in a row. I am beyond excited for Bryce and don’t want anyone to else as my franchise QB.

Young against the Giants was serviceable. He's been above serviceable for the last four games aside from that. Hubbard, today, was serviceable. He sucked last week. Legette hasn't been serviceable for weeks.

We aren't even in this game today without chuba.
