When stats don’t tell the story

Vegas spread was -13.5... we are trending upwards. A lot of people viewed this as the prove it game for Bryce vs an elite D. I'm convinced he's figured it out and the game has slowed down for him. I'm excited for next years team to compete.

Sanders and XL took 14 points off the board and what, at least 100 yards?

Im still high on Sanders. XL I’m 50/50 on. Coker will be a legit #2, quickly.

I want XL to be mad at himself after today. You can tell Chuba was. I sincerely hope Thielen and Chuba work with this dude.

Brooks to me is a write off. Sorry. If he ends up being anything, cool beans, but that is a colossal whiff.

I think Sanders and XL will pan out. This is valuable experience they are getting .

Brooks might have made a difference in the game if he didn’t get hurt. I’m hoping he didn’t tear anything but it doesn’t look good.

Drafting a RB not in the 5th or 6th, but the 2nd round coming off an acl tear who was good in college, but no Ashton Jeanty caliber is extremely irresponsible, wreckless and low IQ. Dan Morgan can fug off.

    • I think XL is going to be just fine. His mistakes have stuck out a lot more because they've been in clutch situations. If a few plays go a different way he's at least over 500 yds receiving and 5 TDs, that's not bad at all for a rookie.
    • Look at our WR situation from the other side. Who are you going to put your better CBs on?  Johnson and Theilen went out early---XL had 138 yards in the first three games on 12 catches.  Yardage-wise, that is over 30% of his total for the season.  12 catches is nearly 30% of his catches for the season. When these players went out--Johnson, AT, Mingo, etc.  it left XL facing the best corners of the opposition for many games.  He is raw--we knew that when we drafted him.  You can't throw a raw WR at the best CBs in the NFL and expect instant success.  If he spent the season facing the second or even third best CBs on each team, he'd probably have better stats.  Legette is still thinking out there, in my view. When the light comes on, he will be good. ------------------------------------------------ Hearing that there is noise to play Velus Jones over the next two games.  We will see if they do.
    • I wonder if Rod asking all our top goal scorers to be able to be great on defense as well is wearing on them. Just let them be our goal scorers! This is why you have defensemen and bottom line forwards!
