Will this team finally draft a center?

So the plan at center was Austin Corbett who was a converted guard coming off an ACL tear. I think we all knew that wasn’t going to be a long term option. His backup Cade Mays is not a starting caliber player and did not have a good game. Constant pressure up the middle. Doesn’t hike the ball causing a delay of game on 4th down with the game on the line. This team has passed on many starting caliber centers in the draft the past few seasons for players, some of whom aren’t even on the roster or any nfl roster at this time. 

Center is a big priority in the draft. It’s beyond time for this team to draft the next long term center after patching it over with burned out FAs since Ryan Kalil retired.

The Panthers will reach for one when the time is right. They refuse to take them when they fall to their pick in the draft.

I hope part of our draft philosophy going forward is stacking our mid round picks with interior lineman.

If only there was a legit C available when we took an injured RB in a weak RB class. SMH. Still boggles my mind with the loaded 2025 RB class awaiting us.

Cade Mays was awful today, he’s lucky Bryce is slippery if not he would have gave up multiple sacks, also a bunch of low and delayed snaps.

As the resident center-fanatic, while there isn't a Tyler Linderbaum nor a Creed Humphrey in this draft class, there's some quality guys like Logan Jones worth investing one of our many draft picks in to develop.

This is also assuming that the team keeps Christensen and/or Mays.

Centers are so cheap and undervalued. I don’t see why they wouldnt invest in one. You can get an instant upgrade over mayes in the third.

Centers are overrated. Anyone can play center. They're about as interchangeable as RBs. No need to draft one when you can find one on another teams waiver wire or practice squad. They are even less valuable than RBs. 

At least that's been the argument every time I've suggested we draft one.
