Panthers vs Eagles official thread

If the INT wasn’t thrown eagles probably don’t score. At the very least, panthers punt with not much time left. I watched the game, that’s why I said when the eagles scored off the turnover that was the game. If we are gonna blame XL blame others mistakes too. Take those bs box score comments back to your momma.

Nice rebuttal. Complete bs but you do you.

I agree with your previous post but I'm not sure about this.  That assumes that the team would have scored that drive.  We can much more safely assume that the team would have scored had XL not dropped that ball.  So while the turnover was part of the losing equation, I don't think it tracks as closely as a dropped TD pass to go up late in the 4th.

remind me how much time was left in the game when the INT occurred?

did the Panthers, you know, regain the lead at any point?

was XL's drop in the first or second half?

just trying to jog my memory of the game so I can figure out what happened, you know, since I distinctly remember having a lead in the 3rd quarter and having a WR drop a TD with less than a minute left... But hey maybe I'm mistaken and Bryce threw a pick to end the game.

a game losing INT

this... man.. okay, so I didn't read the whole post initially but this is just such an idiotic take.

The Panthers are not a good team. But you know, every team has QBs that throw INTs. The Eagles have won 3 of the 4 games Hurts has thrown an INT in. The Bucs have won 4 (including vs us the previous week). The Chiefs have won 7.  I'm picking these teams because they are our last three opponents, and somehow they manage to win despite a turnover. Or sometimes many turnovers.

When an INT is thrown at the end of the game, yes, it loses the game. When a fumble happens at the end of the game, yes, it loses the game. And when a drop happens at the end of the game - yes, it loses the game.

You had a very reasoned Bryce take and then blame him for the loss, which is ridiculous.

Let's be fair here. If Legette didn't have stone hands it would've been 220 yards, 2 TDs and 1 Int and we'd have been winning with 45 seconds left. More than respectable for a road game against the Eagles who have the best overall defense and only allowing 180 yards passing per game.

context doesn't matter when you've got your narrative to run with.

I’ve realized context Doesn’t matter Bryce better start throwing those dimes and then run out there and catch it his dam self and maybe just maybe they’ll tip their cap to him nothing less. If I wasn’t watching Bryce navigate the pocket throw dimes with DE/DTs all in his face pulling him down from behind or shake men who blow past their Olinemen while still staying composed eyes down field and delivering down field consistently and then have his Wr drop passes cut off routes or not play strong enough to catch the ball through contact I’d understand but dam Bryce looks like he’s back at Bama he’s doing his part to help us win clear as day!!!

Ranking hypotheticals on a probability curve now?

It isn't hypothetical to say XL scores if he doesn't drop the ball because he dropped it as he rolls untouched into the endzone. It is hypothetical to say we would have scored if not for the INT as that'd be several plays.
