Why did Harrison Jr get drafted ahead of him?

Because that's the Cardinals and they preferred him to Brock and had him higher on their board. For all we know he wouldn't fit in their offense and they didn't know how to get creative enough to manufacture touches for him and get the ball in his hands in space when they already have McBride whom they liked and are now featuring and force feeding in this offense. Marvin's ceiling is just as high if not higher than Brock's and still is. Just because Brock has started off better, that doesn't mean Marvin's entrenched as the worse pick. Both have franchise changing potential and neither would've been a bad pick for Arizona. You're acting like you discovered these top prospects or something and going out on a limb because they're having initial success.

That's my point I had Bowers as the best offensive player in the draft. I had him higher than Harrison Jr as a offensive threat.

As a guy who switched from RB to the TE position my senior year. Bowers remind me of a legit RB who plays TE. He's a threat after the catch. Harrison was never going to be that kind of player. He's more down the field stretch the field kind of WR. Bowers can take a out route and break for 30+ after the catch. He's gonna challenge Gronk as the best to ever do it.

Not a single FA WR peaks my interest, but I feel we will get a solid WR3/4 for a solid contract. We always do for competition and to have a vet on the team. The draft is where we should be focusing and with AT here another year there should be no rush to replace. XL, Coker, AT, rookie WR, David Moore (or his replacement). Will be fine. Canales likes to run and we will emphasize on that more next year, add another TE in the draft and RB late. Outside of TMac, I dont think the FO has a huge conviction on anyone else and is letting it all play out. The picture will get clearer closer to the senior bowl imo. With the amount of picks we have expect at minimum 2 trades in draft and a good run on depth at positions, WR, and primarily offensive focus again if we retain Evero, if he goes probably more balanced but D leaning.

Sorry but that is a funny comment "peak Curtis Samuel over Adam Thielen".  Peak Samuel in his mid 20's can't even put up Thielen numbers at 33 years old!  You can try and blame his organization and QB but he has Josh Allen this year and has disappeared.  They don't even have a clear #1 - he is in his best situation yet and is doing nothing.

I was only using Samuel as an example as he was an easy one people here know well, and it had nothing to do with his or Thielen's statistical outcome, it was just meant to be about their style of play.

Thielen is one of the best route runners in the league, with sure hands, but isn't going to run away from anyone or make a defender miss him in a phone booth with his quick twitch movements.

Samuel is someone who isn't going to run the most pristine routes, but he's a player you just need to get the ball in his hands for him to use his explosiveness to make people miss and make plays.

With XL and Coker already on the roster, they project to have more of a game similar to Thielen from the slot than a Samuel.  That is why I'm saying if we are going out to get a pure slot WR, it should be someone in the mold of a Samuel, a quick twitch speedster, not a slower route running specialist.

I see the need for both. XL's hands aren't great and maybe an off season on the jugs machine helps that. Coker has yet to be determined how good he's going to be though it does look promising. I've just always been a fan of that no name guy that puts on his cleats, knows where the 1st down marker is, and if you need 9 he gets you 9.1 almost every time. He's not getting 8-10 targets a game, maybe 2-3, but they're the important ones on 3rd down to keep the chains moving and the drive alive. Fresh set of downs to get that explosive guy the ball. JMO, but I think you have to have one of those guys in your receiving corps.

I think the Cut list will be better than the current FA for WRs.

The deal is the one spot this team should know the best is WR. HC was a long time WR coach, OC was a former WR Coach, and current WR coach is a HOF with success in coaching.

Coker and XL look good-great as rookies is more proof too.

Oh of course it would be great to have that guy, but the point is we have guys on the roster who we like their potential and could turn into that type of player.

Most teams really only have 4 playable WRs, maybe a 5th, with a 6th who might be a returner.

If we already have XL, Coker, maybe still Thielen and then hopefully T-Mac, getting a Thielen replacement to learn from him wouldn't make as much sense from an overall roster building standpoint than getting a smaller, speedier, quick twitch, type of slot WR instead.

There's lots of types of players we'd love to have, but in a given offseason, you can only fill so many holes, I think that quick twitch guy is more of a need to get for next season than another Thielen type given our current roster, that's all.

Isn't Coker basically the Thielen replacement?  I see him in the slot.  We need to find an x and hope we get at least a Z.  we can win with a top WR.  Most growth happens between years 1 and 2, so with 2 rookies at WR, we stand to improve even if we do nothing--which we won't/

Coker can definitely play in the slot, but I also think he could more of an outside WR than Thielen ever could be.

If we can draft T-Mac, I actually don't hate the idea of Coker being the other outside WR with XL mostly lining up in the slot.  No, he's not that quick shifty type of slot, but he thrives over the middle and putting the ball in his hands to make plays after the catch, which is something great slot WR's do.

I'd love to see us try and get mist-matches with XL's size matched up on nickel package DB's and see if we can take advantage of that as the safety help will be shading towards T-Mac.  XL could eat all game long if he gets 1 on 1 coverage by nickel DBs.  He'd need to work on his route running a bit to me more crisp in his cuts, but I think it could give us some nice opportunities with him lining up there.
