The vast majority of the stars on those teams were all drafted - including every one of the QB's.  They were all deep running playoff teams who picked up extra pieces, not bottom of the league rebuilders.

Texans actually earned the #2/CJ Stroud pick by sucking, got a new coach, traded up to draft Will Anderson, drafted Tank Dell and basically did a 180.

Drafting T-Mac fixes almost all our WR problems, after that we just need to find that shifty quick twitch slot guy and we're set at WR for a number of years.

T-Mac as the #1, XL as the #2, Coker and a quick twitch guy in the slot.  That's a young core that has best WR room in the NFL type of upside.

I've done some draft stuff and if tmac runs fast at combine- he's my clear #1 for Carolina.

People are talking he's slow, I don't believe that. I think after training and focus, he will be 4.4 fast. Even if he's 4.6 he's still a top ten pick.

100% Carolina needs WRS. They only have XL and coker. AT maybe cut and if not he's 78 years old. Most teams carry 6.....one carry the 4...... look at Panthers cap and weak WR pool......... Panthers need to draft 2 WRs and find another UDFA jewel....

Anyone who thinks T-Mac is slow is just looking at him being 6'5" and making an assumption based on his height that he's a plodding big man.

If someone has watched him play, you can see that no, he's not a track star who is going to run in the 4.3's, but he absolutely is going to end up sub 4.5 as he has more than enough speed for the position.

He'll already be the #1 WR on almost every team's board before the combine, but after they see him do the same drills right next to the other WRs, it will be clear and obvious to every GM there in person that he's the top WR in the draft, by a decent distance.

If Hunter or Burden were more true outside WRs instead of likely slot type of guys, it could be different, but with that being the case, there really is no argument for either being higher on team's WR rankings.

Why do you keep talking about Hunter bro?

He mentioned Tmac and you had to drag Hunter name into it. Let it go bro.

The post had nothing to do with Hunter specifically, but again, you see me mention his name and just take it as a slight to him.  It was a post regarding the WR position at the top of this draft, of which, there are 3 who are clearly better than the rest, one of whom just so happens to be Hunter.

The only reason I brought up Hunter and Burden was to point how how they are both likely slot WRs compared to T-Mac being an outside WR, and for me, that's a key differentiator in the end when you need to rank all 3 on a team's big board.

If there was a team at the top of the draft with a clear outside #1 WR, then I think they would be a team more likely to take Hunter or Burden if they want a WR, as they would be a better pairing.

This is also a perfect example of why I can't stand your draft/FA analysis of players, because you can't separate individual players and the need/fit with a particular team.  You take everything about the players in a vacuum by itself, which is the worst way to evaluate player movement.

You also only took issue with me bringing up Hunter, not Burden, because again, you seem unable to view my posts as anything other than Hunter shade, when they're really comparing players at a specific position and comparing them to our current roster and needs.

You and I want the same player dude. Hunter is not going to be available. I been screaming Tmac for the past month.

It's funny you question my draft analysis when I literally called both XL and Sanders in the draft. Obviously the Panthers were listening...

You were the loudest proponent on this board for Bryce and claimed we would be SB contenders his rookie year.

He ended up with the worst rookie season for a QB in NFL history and we ended up with the #1 pick that we didn't even own.

You have no leg to stand on with draft analysis.

Beyond that... you were the same person who was bashing me for pushing T-Mac a few months ago and saying you'd take Hunter over him as a WR without question.  The only reason you've even come around on T-Mac is because of me and my analysis of him and you then forcing yourself to watch him more and in the end, you realized that I was correct.

So please, keep telling me how you know better than me, I'm listening....................

Never said I know better than you. You also only holding me accountable for Bryce.

What about Jayden Daniels? Remember I said I would take him #1 overall.

What about Brock Bowers? I said he would be the best offensive player in the draft over the hyped Harrison Jr.

I was right about a lot last draft including nailing our 2 rookie picks.

Your resume doesn't stack up with mine if we being honest. What did you call in the draft?

lol, you've proven over the last 2 years that you view everything through a Madden lens of flash and not substance based in NFL realities.

The number of absolutely asinine ideas that you've thrown out over the last couple of years is just comical.  For example, you spent all of last season saying we needed to sign Higgins this past offseason, where I kept telling you that he wasn't even going to hit the market, but you wouldn't stop beating that drum.

You think real life NFL is a Madden video game, both in the moves you can make and how you grade out players.

You low-key respect my football analysis. Its how you remember more stuff I say then I do.

Keep taking notes. I'm just perfecting my craft. You thought I was on fire last draft wait until I start watching these prospects in the upcoming draft.

I'm basically the GM at this point. I called XL and Sanders. Let me cook!

I high key think you're one of the worst football analysts I've ever seen, and I've told you as such.

I remember some of yours because they are so astoundingly ignorant of real life NFL implications despite your insistence of being correct.

Hell, even in this post you say something downright comical.

You're literally bragging about correctly guessing who we'd draft, not even about who they are as players.  That in itself just shows how you can't seem to view anything in the correct lens.

I correctly predicted we would draft Bryce, but you don't see me bragging about that.  I also correctly predicted exactly the type of QB he would be at this level, and I'm still not bragging about that because it was that obvious, yet you still thought he was the second coming and would lead us to the SB hunt last year.

But go on, keep telling me how awesome you are at this.

    • Don't really care either way. If I had to weigh in I would vote for whomever made the program worse.
    • The unbelievable irony of the forum's biggest bandwagoner trying to throw down the gauntlet of closing the door for bandwagoners to hop on. That's amazing stuff.
    • So don't look at it as hoping your team will lose, look at it as hoping your team can add an elite difference maker in the draft, because that's what you're really hoping for and in reality, that's what you're rooting for. Would people have rather won an extra couple of games back in 2010 at the expense of being in position to draft Cam? Or how about the next year when we got Kuechly?  If we won an extra game or two that previous year, we'd have likely missed out on him in that draft too. Again, we're not one or two players away from contending next year.  We're not already sitting in that 10ish pick range where there might not be a big difference if we fall back a couple extra picks.  If we were those things, then yes, you want the team to win to help them build upon next season.   As I said earlier, it's like the Lions of 2 years ago, they were only a couple pieces away from having a really competitive team, they won a bunch of late games to build their momentum and turned that into an NFCCS appearance last year and are now the best team in the NFC.   That's not us right now, we're more like the Lions of Campbell's first season where they ended up with the 2nd pick in the draft and took Hutchinson.   Once you're sitting in that Top 5 of the draft and still have as many holes as we do, meaningless wins only hurt the franchise overall in the long term.  Winning at this point is cutting off our nose to spite our face.
