First official report: Mostly good

Observer's take:

The Panthers' late-season injury crisis on their defensive line appears to be over.

Starting tackles Maake Kemoeatu (ankle) and Damione Lewis (shoulder), who both missed time at the end of the regular season, practiced Wednesday and look to be OK for Saturday's playoff game against Arizona.

Offensive tackle Jeff Otah, who hurt his toe in the regular-season finale at New Orleans, also practiced.

The only player who didn't practice was offensive lineman Geoff Hangartner, who's still recovering from an ankle injury.

The return of Kemoeatu and Lewis will bolster the Panthers' run defense against an Arizona team that ran the ball effectively last week in a wild-card game against the Atlanta Falcons. -- David Scott

Otah told Darin Gantt that his toe injury was a bruise. I would bet that he got stepped on. Been there and had that happen before. It hurts like hell! I thought my toe was amputated. It felt that way for a couple of weeks before I was able to play on it again.
