Serious question: Jameis Winston or Bryce Young straight-up?

You can't win with Jameis. Yes, every once in a while, he throws for 500 yards, but he doesn't protect the ball and is always going to throw a ton of interceptions and put the team in a bad place.

this is not even a comparion to Bryce, I wouldnt want him on my roster. Jameis is fun to watch on someone else's team.

Interceptions are the worse thing a qb can do.  When an int is throw, it means either your team missed a chance to score or gave the other team an easy score (or sometimes both).  Given how many he throws, I can't imagine any circumstance where I would want Jameis as our starter.

Bryce is still an unknown and the unknown is better than the known Jameis.

Based upon what I see so far without a doubt, Bryce Young.  I am very impressed with Jamis Winston.  I think he is a deep passer. I think he is talented and I think he is a terrific individual.  No question in my mind that his teammates rally around him.

I’m not sure why, but Jameis Winston has always had interception problems.

Based on age, and the fact Bryce is trending up while Jameis is Jameis and will always be exactly what he is, it’s an easy decision: Bryce. If you had asked me three weeks ago, it would have been a different answer, but Bryce is showing capabilities he’d never shown any sign of before, so I’m opening up to the possibility of him actually being a legit franchise QB.

Bryce, just because there's still room to grow.

Jameis is what he's going to be at this point, which is probably underrated by most fans, but he's never going to be a true franchise QB long-term. He's basically the Vinny Testaverde of his generation.

Bryce may not end up being a franchise QB either, but he still has a chance to be. Especially with his recent performances. Even if he never plays better than he has the past month that still likely means he ends up having a better overall career than Jameis in the long run.

Bryce version 2.0 has yet to give a game away or throw a WTF was that kind of ball. This is an unfathomable step up that I never thought possible. If he does nothing else going forward he has absolved himself from being the biggest draft bust in history.

I will levy high praise in saying we have a guy we can win with, maybe. 2 weeks in a row he showed that he could deliver with the game on the line and that the moment wasn’t too big for him. Not everyone has that.

He airmailed an over 40 yard DIME to Tremble after avoiding a sack, rolling out and delivering with someone in his face… and he didn’t let up the entire game.

So I don’t know who this kid is. I know who Winston is. I’ll ride with Bryce

    • I understand the hesitancy. The one reason I'm hopeful is Bryce's biggest improvements have been on deep routes that are very hard to defend and demonstrate a high level of play. A lot of Teddy and Allen's 'high level' play was right at the LoS. But it's only been a few games like you say. We shall see. The good thing is we have a number of games left to evaluate him.
    • Show me where I haven't given him his props for playing better? Do you UNDERSTAND how bad he was to start the year? So anything that isn't absolutely horrible was an improvement for bryce....do you get that? Far as throwing dimes yeah the reactions are different but also just maybe.....WE SHOULD BE USE TO IT BY NOW and not still waiting till the back half of YEAR 2. You ever think maybe some folks feel that way? Aidan O connel performance doesn't take away but WE didn't start the circle jerk comparisons of the teams we play and where there ranked against whoever the qb was starting here. When dalton stepped in last year and threw 300 yards and 3 tds against Seattle all we heard was how trash Seattle defense was. He steps in this year and does it again against the Raiders and the bengals but those teams defenses are also trash according to some of you so it doesn't matter. Therefore, you can't blame people for applying that same logic to bryce and if another qb performs even better against that same team. If the roster is so weak no qb should be having good games and if bryce is the best qb on the roster then he should be putting up the better games no matter who we play.  Once again,  I have acknowledged his improvement but let's not try to sit here act like demanding crow, apologies, and retractions is somehow the same thing. It's still to early for that and nothing but built up emotion.
    • If you include Week 8, he drops to 13th in offensive grade and 11th in passing grade.   Still pretty solid.
