I gave up on him after the first 2 weeks. I hope he keeps proving me wrong. He looks way more comfortable and like he belongs in the league.

Lots of us did, he just looked so lost and mechanically unsound. His mechanics are better but need improvement. He's also making the right read virtually every time. He had a couple bad throws but out of 40? That's really good...

This place has no middle.

Black and white thinking," also known as dichotomous thinking, is a cognitive distortion where someone views situations in extremes, only seeing things as completely good or completely bad, with no room for nuance or middle ground, essentially dividing the world into absolute opposites like "perfect" or "terrible" without acknowledging the complexities in between; it's a pattern of thinking that often leads to oversimplification and inaccurate perceptions of reality

Here's the most important question.  Does anyone think he's in the running for come back player of the year?

Joe burrow is the betting favorite and he hurt his wrist last year give me a break.

Bryce is coming back from one of the worst season for a rookie qb, being benched after 2 games for the worst play I've ever seen and looking at getting cut or traded to now a reasonable looking nfl starter. My wallet from 4 months ago says bryce should be getting more attention for the award

Lot of people doing all they can to avoid it.

All I’m starting to see is guys making new excuses oh that’s one week oh he’s did it 3-4 weeks in a row wait until it’s a whole year. Like we can’t celebrate his current success and acknowledge his current achievements like this without still waiting for more development. I’m not saying he’s a top anything QB or he’s that guy he’s showing the potential to be a very good QB in the very near future. It’s like he’s going all the things it takes to be considered a good QB and people don’t want to recognize it’s happening.

It’s going to be a dark place around here if we happen to get him one more weapon like he’s college running mate in a Jerry Juedy type of player he’ll look like Bama Bryce all dam day which some people can’t fathom that kid who was just throwing ducks, picks, and looking like a JV player playing varsity is now playing like a top 10 QB the last four weeks. I myself am utterly confused but it’s happening and I can’t wait to see more I can’t wait to get Cooker back should elevate our passing game which even more.

I want to see more of this and at a consistent level but so good so far at the beginning and now damn good so far the past week or two. Hope he keeps it up and can be the guy everyone hoped he could be when he was drafted. Who knows, maybe he has developed his mind to handle everything while being aggressive and maybe this is the true beginning of his career. I sure hope so.

I get that.

For most, he couldn't ever have a deep game, according to the huddle.

He is proving otherwise.

I never thought that he couldn't throw it deep, just that he doesn't. He has been more willing to push the ball downfield, and i like what I've seen recently. I still think his arm is weak, meaning he has no zip on the ball, but if he can continue to make up for it with anticipation then he will be ok.

    • I understand the hesitancy. The one reason I'm hopeful is Bryce's biggest improvements have been on deep routes that are very hard to defend and demonstrate a high level of play. A lot of Teddy and Allen's 'high level' play was right at the LoS. But it's only been a few games like you say. We shall see. The good thing is we have a number of games left to evaluate him.
    • Show me where I haven't given him his props for playing better? Do you UNDERSTAND how bad he was to start the year? So anything that isn't absolutely horrible was an improvement for bryce....do you get that? Far as throwing dimes yeah the reactions are different but also just maybe.....WE SHOULD BE USE TO IT BY NOW and not still waiting till the back half of YEAR 2. You ever think maybe some folks feel that way? Aidan O connel performance doesn't take away but WE didn't start the circle jerk comparisons of the teams we play and where there ranked against whoever the qb was starting here. When dalton stepped in last year and threw 300 yards and 3 tds against Seattle all we heard was how trash Seattle defense was. He steps in this year and does it again against the Raiders and the bengals but those teams defenses are also trash according to some of you so it doesn't matter. Therefore, you can't blame people for applying that same logic to bryce and if another qb performs even better against that same team. If the roster is so weak no qb should be having good games and if bryce is the best qb on the roster then he should be putting up the better games no matter who we play.  Once again,  I have acknowledged his improvement but let's not try to sit here act like demanding crow, apologies, and retractions is somehow the same thing. It's still to early for that and nothing but built up emotion.
    • If you include Week 8, he drops to 13th in offensive grade and 11th in passing grade.   Still pretty solid.
