Current Draft Position & Potential Prospects

 Share

Recommended Posts

The first pick should be BPA, and tbh drafting 5-8 there are plenty of options. I feel a WR would be best, but will “the guy” be there? We neglected the defense somewhat, and I feel the lack of depth showed. I see a plethora of options available later that would be worth a trade down, and if they are enamored with the prospect, I feel only maybe 5 would be a top choice in our expected draft range. I’d love any of Mason Graham, Will Johnson, or Abdul Carter, if and only if they fit the system and need. If they see value trading down and TMac isn’t there, a later round pick of Isaiah Bond and another 2nd round pick would be ideal.

Having the tools and implementing (i don't think implementing is the right word but ill go with it) them are two different things. Daniel Jones has the makeup/tools of a franchise QB, but he can't put it together. Trevor Lawrence has the tools. The tools is what got him a second contract. Not saying that paying him was right or wrong but they paid him based off his potential. Regardless, it is a what have you done league. He will get one more HC and if he can't figure it out at that point, then the fingers will be pointed at him. Can only fire your staff so many times before the franchise stops believing in you.

Yeah he put it together one season decently and has not since. I've seen hundreds of college QB's very up close and Lawrence is in the top 5% easily of all I've seen in terms of impressed me and what I saw him do but that is definitely a long time removed now and something isn't clicking with him. Don't know what it is or why but I hope he figured it out for his sake.

Lol triggered

How did saying Lawrence is not a good QB turn into Shedeur freaking Sanders smh

I expected better from you Mr. Prickles

I'm not the least bit triggered.......?

You seemed to get worked up a little when I disagreed with you and I thought it was a little bit funny is all. I know you believe in Deion and his boy so I was just pointing out his son is another college god who unfortunately I believe may be fooling everyone and will flame out pretty hard in the NFL or at best become a decent backup to count on. What you see in Lawrence you may very well see in Deion's son I have a pretty strong feeling. Lawrence was just more successful in college is all.

You must be a Clemson fan?

This is some weird energy bro. Instead of defending Lawrence you jumped to Shedeur and Deion.

Last season was all about building the offense. Now it's time to build up the defense. If we're in the top 5, I'd be okay with Graham to pair with Derrick Brown or Johnson to pair with Jaycee. Just seems smart to make a strength even stronger.

We're not done lad. We've done the oline we still need weapons bad. This offseason should be weapons and Dline then year 3 of the rebuild should be the 2nd and 3rd level of the defense. That's with the hope Bryce continues to develop and get better

You make an asinine claim about Lawrence not having the tools of an elite QB (which, spoiler alert, he 100% has all the tools, the question at hand is if he's going to follow through on the potential he has, but the tools themselves, they're all there).

And someone brings this up and then mentions a QB in this upcoming draft class, WHICH IS WHAT THIS THREA IS ABOUT, and says how they believe he's not going to make it in the NFL, and you do what you always do, you jump on them being a homer of some sort.

All because they said something negative about the two players you have an unhealthy love affair of.

How about for once trying to defend your positions, explain why you don't think Lawrence has the tools to be elite, explain why you think Shedeur does, don't just say they have an agenda.

But you don't do that, because you don't actually know football, you don't know how to watch someone in college and project how their abilities will translate to an entirely different game in the NFL.\

You are a box score, Madden style, hype machine analyst who can't separate the trivial things from real things.

someone still can't make a coherent argument for or against players based on football specific traits and how they translate to the next level lol

What are you even talking about?

I said Trevor Lawrence has the look of a franchise QB aka the big arm/size/leadership, but he doesn't have it mentally. Something doesn't click when he's on the field. He will show you signs here and there, but he can't put it together for 4 quarters. Something is missing. That guy at Clemson is not the same guy at the NFL level.

If he can be a diet coke version of suh or Donald im all for it. Pair him with brown and pressure up the middle kills.

I agree. A solid defensive line that can put pressure on the quarterback immediately helps the defensive backs

Clemson fan? I played 5 years for their number 1 rival then returned years later to train and work with players at my alma mater who is their biggest rival in existence. I was brought up to hate Clemson and everything about that god awful orange they wear. In my time back I have seen Lawrence up close and personal more times than I wanted from just a few feet away dismantle my boys. I trained guys to try to tear him apart so I wouldn't say I'm a Clemsux fan at all.

I'm not gonna have a whining match about who said what and don't care. I shared my perspective initially and you said I was wrong so I responded with you are wrong and why. I also have a comparison just because I can't stand Deion from some past interactions I've had with him and I know you worship his narcissistic behind the scenes psychotic toxic manipulative ass so I thought I would share with you that your boy Shedeur has been stat padding in a weak conference with daddy behind him setting everything up for the Shedeur show and unless some NFL team hires him to be the coach he is going to have one hell of a wake up call in the NFL guaranteed. I have t seen that exact scenario played out but I've seen so many similar situations play out at the high school then college level that this formula they have going is an ending recipe for a rough wake up call and disaster which truly is not fair to his son. I met Shedeur when he was much younger and he seemed to be a very nice young man so I hope it is not such but from what I've seen personally and then over the past number of years on television he will have a very tough transition.

But you are the expert my brotha and this is your goat to jump into submission so I tap out and yield to you on that debate saying only we shall see in the end. Trevor Lawrence is far from done and that dude has some of the sickest skills I have ever witnessed and that is with saying I have stood up close and personal to some amazing NFL talent when in college. He is right there at the very top of the bets of the best of the best I have seen. Skills he does not lack and it goes long past the look of having the height.
