99.9 Espn podcast reactions immediately following game

Interesting comments on coaching failures…. Bear in mind this is a podcast so they do try to be somewhat entertaining

1. play calling with the Panthers RBs only having 18 attempts today

2. Evero’s defense allowing 230 plus yards running and particularly in 4th qtr and overtime playing too off the receivers.    To me, that’s status quo with Evero

They said, ‘just wait to see what Saquan does next week to this defense’ paraphrased

3. Fox (not sure why he said Fox when CBS was carrying broadcast) not having a camera facing the opposite way to solidify the call of Thielen’s TD…years ago I remember there being a problem with certain camera angles at the Bank…but with technology today that should’ve been addressed

4 talked about bone headed PF penalty by Farley and Sam Franklin trying to go into bucs locker room…

I don’t agree with the criticism of not calling runs. We tried and they weren’t working at all. Evero going soft with 30 seconds left and Tampa needing a field goal to tie is a firable offense. The 2nd down trick play in the first half was stupidity as was attempting the second field goal on 4th and short after we had already missed one.

AT wrong call, Evero going soft at the end of the 4th, lots of drops, missed field goals, just a bunch of missed opportunities for real lol. This was truly a missed opportunities game. Only thing to watch for now is to figure out what we need in the draft and start dialing in on that 1st round pick

Zone and prevent have no place at the end of games. Any QB with time is going to pick you apart, especially a team with Evans or a quality WR. Bend don't break works at times...but not when you have our run defense. All teams have to do is complete a couple of passes, and then they can run it down our throats to get into FG range.

So much of us are focusing on the 'fumble' in overtime.  However, the truth is this game should have never even been in overtime.

I did forget about that bone headed penalty on Farley for 15-yards on the Bucs final drive in Q4.  The Panthers had the Bucs stopped inside their 20, and with Farley's 15-yard penalty that moved them up to their 35.  They kicked the tie field goal with virtually no time on the clock.  If the Bucs start at their 20 vs their 25....game over.

We would like to think so…it sure didn’t help but Evero’s soft scheme defense and a run defense shredded like a block of cheese screams otherwise

I’d really not cry if he left and if they returned to a base. 4 3 if possible
