I know it hurts, but damn give the guy a break. He’s a rookie and he shows flashes of promise. You hope he grows from it and was playing hurt already. We don’t have enough patience…..this was never going to be a playoff season. We are showing fight and I remember not too long ago, many called Bryce a bust, Derrick Brown trash, and Chubba a wasted pick in their rookie seasons.

He'll be fine next year.

Yeah, he was a bad pick for sure. Great measurables but terrible fundamentals. That's why he basically didn't produce his entire college career.

He is worth developing but was a massive overdraft and really needs to be developed as a #3 or #4 WR, not a #1.

Yeah - absolutely can't give up on him yet - these are however issues you don't want to see with a 1st round WR.  Focus in the clutch is a big deal at the spot.

Ladd also has a much more experienced QB throwing to him. Throwing behind a better line. And with more options. And... and... and...

McConkey was and is worlds better than XL. He will be a 10+ year WR. Never a #1 but a very good #3 WR that can get open and make plays. I was all in on McConkey over XL. XL is exactly as advertised, a deeply, DEEPLY fundamentally flawed WR but a great athlete. Same as TMJ and Mingo.

It’s really starting to feel like Fitterer rinse and repeat. Take a guy a couple rounds early that isn’t polished with our 1st and then take an injured guy with the 2nd.

McConkey is already a #1 right now. He’s not going to be a Randy Moss, but a Welker/Edelman is a nice option.

Like I tried to say there, I was for Ladd back in the day.

But, on to Legette... let's give him some time. It was a bad day for him, and for a few other players. I see something more in him than I saw in TMJ and Mingo. Let's give him time to pan out.

It’s not just that he has the drops, it’s that he drops routine stuff. Yes, he has come up clutch, especially in the red zone, but his drops are brutal. 

Typical panthers reach on a local with good measurables but no consistent college production to show for it. 

He can catch with his hands but likes to body catch the routine grabs and probably loses focus in the process since it’s routine and all. He needs a sports psychologist and a jugs machine.

Didn't Moose drop a lot of passes early in his career? Legette needs to put in work in the offseason and not down on the farm.

and rode the bench early on. it wasnt till year 3 that he broke out.
