Legette is killing us

And all those things work well when you have a better QB. The reason you drafted Legette is because Bryce was giving a lot more 50/50 balls and Legette was better at winning those balls and YAC potential.

Just different guys.

Not sure with this obsession on the huddle that the grass is always greener. Strange take considering Legette isn't the reason why we lost.

Yeah, people are on here whining about Ladd and Cooper Dejean over the picks we took this year. It is pretty evident, but some things are taboo to talk about anymore.

Legette is playing very well having played this year with two QBs, basically three as Bryce is seemingly a different QB now. Ladd is playing with a vested veteran QB and that is the reason he is producing more. Any moron can see that, but doesn't want to discuss the obvious.

As far as Brooks not looking special, this is literally the second game he has played in as a rookie. His first catch he broke tackles and the big run he had he broke tackles, but he doesn't jump off the screen/didn't do anything. Bucky was the best RB yesterday, but won't discuss that our run defense is fooking last in the NFL. I wish sometimes you all would step up and kill these stupid threads before they get 5-7 pages deep! These arguments are so weak and it is just a bunch of hindsight negativity when you can see the team is trending upward.

I swear, this guy is a ROOKIE and being asked to play a major role. Stop the Stoopid.

After another full off-season IN WHICH YOU HOPE HES HEALTHLY........ if he's still having hand catching problems, THEN start up the roast.

Give him time to adjust.

You should never judge rookies unless they are ALL-PRO or cut. WAIT.

Honestly, wasn’t real impressed with Brooks yesterday at the game. Bucky looked way better, unfortunately. I thought Brooks was quicker and more elusive and would be a compliment to Chuba but he looked more like a Chuba clone. Maybe he’s rusty but he was not elusive at all. One run at David and he didn’t have any wiggle just tried to run through him and well, didn’t.

We needed Legette, so I hope he improves but man, unless Brooks is really rusty, he’s going to be our big regret, especially with Frazier available to fill our C opening with a potential pro bowler.

Bucky looked better because our defense couldn't stop him

He needs to work on hands catching, otherwise he's what I'd expect from a rookie with a lot of upside. Good routes. Good speed. But I just can't understand why he makes routine catches look so difficult. Throw one up for him to high point, and all of a sudden he starts leaping, twisting and contorting his body like you just tossed a cat in the air.

Honestly, I think it's a confidence thing. Some more plays, some more TDs and the game will slow down a bit for him and he won't have to try so hard.

i think we should instantly cut all of our draft picks, right after training camp, so we never have any more rookies on our team. that’s the clear answer.

The sad truth is I believe there are some people on this board who would be cool with that just to have one more thing to bitch about

    • Interesting that people are calling for our DC'S head, when we never would have been in the game if it wasn't for the defense.  Never should have gotten to OT.
    • Philly's defense is great and they run the ball a lot and control the TOP (and they certainly will vs us - this is a big mismatch), so even if Bryce is at his best, I doubt he would have a chance to crack 300 passing yards.  Be damn impressive if he does though, but it all just depends on volume, efficiency, and most importantly... not turning the ball over.
    • Even with Cam I don't think it would have been a hard sell. He always loomed larger than life, but most people that understand football understand the reality of the game. One wrong hit, one wrong step, and a career can be over. It's the thing I've been frustrated about most with every GM we've ever had, including Morgan to this point. We never really developed the QB room. We relied on our starters and when Jake and Cam fell apart, so did the franchise. That's the one position that you can't really afford not to develop a plan B, but we do it with regularity. Dalton wasn't supposed to be a serious threat to Bryce's job and Jack was never a threat to be anything at all. JMO, but we should always have a young guy we're trying to keep on the bench with at least 2 years in the system. If they're not getting it, move on, but always keep rotating guys through. It seems like 2-3 years really is the magic point for QBs to either get a handle or not. It's probably not going to happen, but I'd really like to see that 3rd QB emergency slot become a permanent place to work on developing young QBs. I think it could benefit every team in the league because it's so hard to carry 3 QBs on the roster with all the turn over during the season due to injuries.
