It's a pretty unfair test.   We aren't prepared to match up with Philly.

They will run the ball all game,  we cannot stop them.  Time of possession will be lopsided.  We aren't going to be able to run the ball vs them.

Tons of pressure on the passing game alone to carry vs the best team in the NFC.   That's a lot to ask.

He should like a good QB vs them.   But expecting a rabbit being pulled out of his hat is setting him up for failure.  We aren't winning this game no matter how well he plays.

Barkley is going to put up 300 yards rushing on our defense.

Nah son. Some of us are here week to week win or lose. Where were you in weeks 1 and 2?????? Your ass hasn't posted since October. Something tells me folks like you and Chib will be missing come next Sunday evening after our offense faces the #1 Eagles defense.

I’m all for being positive and wishing Bryce the best, but to me, it’s insane people poo all over people who are still not sure about Bryce yet. I mean, did everyone forget all of last year and the first two weeks of this year? Three good games erases that? Not to me. But, I’m still hopeful. It’s perfectly normal to still be on the fence about the guy. And you’re right, this next game will be a big test and he has faced some pretty easy defenses. (I don’t care about the chiefs overall D, their pass d was horrendous. Wide open guys just like yesterday)

I think the people getting the poo posts aren't people who "aren't sure about Bryce yet".

They are people that are completely denying any growth or positive signs from him.  Acting like it hasn't happened or anybody could do it, etc etc.

The majority here still aren't sure if he's the franchise QB but he has earned a the shot to continue his development with us.

Or I'll be driving across the state at that time and won't even be watching the game. If I were, I wouldn't be an irrational idiot moving the goal posts week-to-week regarding what improvement looks like. I was fully ready to move on from Bryce after Week 2. He's done something you don't often see... a near 180 from the lowest point earlier in the season. Him showing improvement, along with our other young talent, should be a welcome sight... not one in which you begin pulling out the microscope to complain like a b all day.

I'm just one of those fans that actually gets excited about team improvements. I also don't have irrational expectations for players/team. One team wins the Super Bowl each year. I don't cry and beat my wife each year that it's not us, because I know it's a sport that has no bearing on my real life. I also don't expect for a player to go out there each week and be flawless. I understand it's a team sport more so than a sport like basketball that can be carried by an all-time great. Some don't share those thoughts, but it gets tiresome when those fools put blinders on to stay in the doom-and-gloom mindset. Miserable existence.

I disagree he's done a full 180. For that he would have to become one of the top 15 QB's in the league. He was the arguably the worst QB in the league just earlier this season. That cannot be understated. Now he's worked his way to decent backup status at this point. He is performing comparably to the likes of Aiden O'Connell. That is the reality as it currently stands.

I do not sit here and tell anyone how to fan. I also do not sit around all day and night pooing posts on the internet that offend me. That's called being a snowflake. I've endured plenty of losing. I know what mediocrity looks like as well. What we are currently witnessing doesn't even fall into the mediocrity category. I've been here and I will remain. Same with the Hornets. If anyone doesn't like me telling it how it is they are welcome to look away.

Like I said. These people are snowflakes. They need to go just follow the official Panthers social media accounts where it's all sunshine and rainbows and pipe dreams and not wade into the waters where discourse challenges their positions.

Stopped reading after the first sentence. I said he did a near 180 from earlier and your first sentence rewrites my words. Grasping at technicalities of general statements.

Hate to say it but I need him too. I'm on the fringe of playoffs in 3 of my big money 4 leagues and have Barkley in all them. Of course that means he's gonna bust off a 34 yard 1st run and pull a hammy.

Near 180 would still make him a top 20 QB based on the fact that for last season and even this season he has steadily been statistically in the high 30's to 40's amongst all qualified passers.

You can poo every post my guy you are not going to impose your will on anyone here. It's a fan discussion message board. Nobody cares that you can't handle someone having a differing opinion. Have a great day.

I'd argue that he has easily been a top 15 player the last several weeks.  In the last two weeks alone, he was equal to Mahomes and outplayed Baker.

PFF says he is #1 in the NFL in "big time throws" the last two weeks.

That doesn't mean it automatically translates to him being better than other QBs in the long term.

But he has looked just as good as any Year 2 QB since he returned to the lineup.    Yes, including Stroud.

Against KC and TB, he was the best Panthers player on the field.

Respectfully I will agree to disagree.

I'm not on board with comparisons to Mahomes. If you're going that route then are you also comparing Aidan O'Connell to Mahomes since he went off on the Chiefs defense? Bryce did outplay Baker. Although you could make the valid argument we underachieved given all the gifts the Bucs gave us. And I've said all along this season Baker is being overrated. The Bucs are truly not that good. We should have hung at least 3 touchdowns on those fools. That's on Canales Bryce and the receivers.

I wasn't "comparing" him to Mahomes, per se.  Clearly that's not even an argument.  Bryce was of equal importance and value to his team in that game.

And look, Aidan O'Connell had an absolutely fantastic game against KC.  So sure.  350 yards and 2 TDS is impeccable.    Best game of his career.

Bryce has been top 5 PFF QB last two weeks.    It's a small sample size for sure.  But dude is ballin.

1. Burrow (lol. Poor Joe Burrow) 2. Stafford 3. Allen 4. Richardson 5. Bryce Young!

Would you or would you not agree that ultimately O'Connell is a jag? That's not me trying to disparage the guy it's just the reality. One game doesn't mean he's turned the corner into anything special anymore than those games Kyle Allen looked special for us.

2 games out of 25 isn't even really a sample size honestly. If you want a true sample size then that will require the remainder of the season. Eagles Cowboys and Cardinals are plenty good of a test to confirm what people are hoping for from him for right now.

Probably but he has flashed some.  He's a 2nd year player.   Certainly shown that he's an NFL QB.  Almost 3 years older than Bryce so not as much room for growth.   I'd say Bryce has the significantly higher ceiling.

And sure.   I agree.   He needs to continue to show this growth to get people to buy in.

The Eagles is an outlier.  That game will be extremely ugly.

I think his play has earned him the chance to compete for starting spot next year with whomever the team brings back.   And it has given the team the luxury of not feeling QB desperate in the draft.

****Unless he completely falls off the planet again and reverts back to what he was, then it's QB time in the draft again***
