Get this guy outta here.

Nah son. Some of us are here week to week win or lose. Where were you in weeks 1 and 2?????? Your ass hasn't posted since October. Something tells me folks like you and Chib will be missing come next Sunday evening after our offense faces the #1 Eagles defense.

the real test of where Bryce presently is remains Philly.  Tampa has the 30th ranked pass D.  KC had the 23rd ranked pass D.

Philly has the #1 ranked pass D......and on top of that it will be real cold ( and per Cam Newton, real cold exposes weak NFL arms).

Can Bryce be average in that scenario....that's the test.

He did more than enough to win last week and most definitely this week. Are you talking stats, or just being clutch? Because I'm pretty sure Bryce did not miss two field goals and fumble in field goal range in OT (not that FG range would have mattered anyway). IDK man, that TD throw to Thielen at the end is about all you can do to win. Not sure how that is bottom 10.

I'm talking eye test. He is playing significantly more poised in the pocket and making better decisions which is great. He's also hitting open players down field, which is great too and he wasn't doing before getting benched. But I have still yet to see him actually threaten a defense in any way. He's taking the plays that are there. In today's NFL you need a QB who is actually a threat. I just still don't see it with Bryce even with his much improved play this past month or so.

I'm surprised to see Bryce rebound so quickly from losing his confidence earlier in this season.  He's playing better than he ever has.  I wouldn't crown him as the franchise just yet though.  I think he's essentially playing himself into a bridge QB role for the team.

Or I'll be driving across the state at that time and won't even be watching the game. If I were, I wouldn't be an irrational idiot moving the goal posts week-to-week regarding what improvement looks like. I was fully ready to move on from Bryce after Week 2. He's done something you don't often see... a near 180 from the lowest point earlier in the season. Him showing improvement, along with our other young talent, should be a welcome sight... not one in which you begin pulling out the microscope to complain like a b all day.

I'm just one of those fans that actually gets excited about team improvements. I also don't have irrational expectations for players/team. One team wins the Super Bowl each year. I don't cry and beat my wife each year that it's not us, because I know it's a sport that has no bearing on my real life. I also don't expect for a player to go out there each week and be flawless. I understand it's a team sport more so than a sport like basketball that can be carried by an all-time great. Some don't share those thoughts, but it gets tiresome when those fools put blinders on to stay in the doom-and-gloom mindset. Miserable existence.

Y'all said there was no hope for Bryce myself included. Now that he's showing some hope y'all still want to bury him smh.

This is what we all wanted to see. The dude is not the best QB, but he's showing us he belongs on the same field as Patrick Mahomes.

We aren't winning many games with this roster. Our Oline is legit and if we can get Tmac in the draft the offense is set. We have FA and the rest of the draft to fix the defense.

Stop being miserable people. I'm finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

He's showing improvement. He belonged on the same field as Mahomes. His play is speaking for itself. I love a comeback story and this kid is growing before our eyes.

we can revisit this after the Philly game.

if you play any QB long enough, they will have some decent games.   Especially when they catch some of the easier setups.  We saw this last year.

Yup.  I'm happy to see him playing better.  I don't think anyone wanted to see him actually fail.  He still lacks what I would want in a franchise QB so he'll unknowingly be our bridge QB until the 2026 draft.

Can't speak for the rest, but I like you. Good post.

This place can be miserable at times. For some football is life. For others this is just a silly game.

Back in my younger years I was miserable because of the Panthers. As you get older you realize this is just entertainment. Unfortunately some people never grow out of that stage. Football is life to some people and we have to accept them for who they are.

It's a pretty unfair test.   We aren't prepared to match up with Philly.

They will run the ball all game,  we cannot stop them.  Time of possession will be lopsided.  We aren't going to be able to run the ball vs them.

Tons of pressure on the passing game alone to carry vs the best team in the NFC.   That's a lot to ask.

He should like a good QB vs them.   But expecting a rabbit being pulled out of his hat is setting him up for failure.  We aren't winning this game no matter how well he plays.

So you expecting us to beat these teams with this roster?

That's unfair. Bryce is playing well with a limited roster. Philly is arguably playing the best football in the NFL right now. So he showed you he belong vs the Champs that should speak for itself.

I'm not expecting us to beat Philly. I just want to see Bryce continue to play well. If he does that it's a win in my book.

    • How about this. We'll revisit this discussion after the Eagles game. Deal? If Bryce lights them up as the current #1 defense I'll happily eat crow and become a believer.
    • I'm no sports psychologist but it does seem like he got through a serious mental block. Someone mentioned above that Thielen alluded to Bryce feeling like he needed to be perfect every play. That feels accurate. Just from watching, it feels like Bryce 1.0 was playing to not mess up (which is the #1 way to make mess up!) instead of just playing the game. Silly as it may seem, watching him dance after running one in yesterday led me to believe Bryce 2.0 is a thing and a legitimate one at that. In the past, it seemed like he felt the need to remain stoic at all times, which is cool if it's your personality but probably is a pretty uncomfortable facade to keep up. Looking back and seeing the way he showed emotion at Bama, that stoic guy isn't him. He's playing the game again, smiling and having fun. Credit to him because having to take a step back like he did could have been a fatal blow for the confidence. I just want to continue to see progress week to week. It won't necessarily be linear but that's OK. He's breaking through blocks and barriers we weren't sure were possible a few weeks ago. Who knows where that trajectory takes him?
    • Stopped reading after the first sentence. I said he did a near 180 from earlier and your first sentence rewrites my words. Grasping at technicalities of general statements.
