I'll keep watching, but he needs to show he can compete with and beat the best when his team puts him in that position. He's easily replaceable with QBs like Andy Dalton, Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold, Cooper Rush, and rookie QBs. We had PJ Walker doing better than Bryce Young in fewer starts.

This is the hard truth.

If he suddenly becomes consistent, I'll recognize that turn around. I'm just not okay with waiting 4 seasons to see just a little bit of consistency at the QB position.

I expect QBs to show they're clutch by the 2nd year too, and we're still not seeing that from Young.

We're all just happy he's better than the garbage play we saw for a while, and among the bottom 10 starters in the league.

I have a feeling we are going to fug around and turn Bryce into our own version of Daniel Jones.  If at the end of 2025 we aren't in the playoffs or at least on the cusp, it will be time to cut bait, period. Signing an extension shouldn't even be on the table for Young.

He’s showing improvement, but not to the point where you’re thinking about extending him at the moment.

It's a huge deal. If the coach doesn't trust the qb or want him at qb, we are going to be a mess again. Guess we'll see if Bryce can keep improving and earn back his trust

It's hard not to think this way. Jones played himself into a nice payday and then disappeared.  I think he's earned to right to start 2025 but any regression should trigger Daniel Jones flashbacks. 

Young's future will go as his offensive line goes. If Morgan and Company believe Young can be our franchise QB they better ensure we have a great O-line in front of him. 

I have seen major improvements since his return. Trying to be mistakes free and making good decisions. He made some terrific throws today.

If Bryce continues to improve game by game, he’ll earn another year.  If he substantially improves in 2025, he may be extended… or not.  While I still have reservations about his size and ability to handle the entire route tree, you have to give him credit for the recent improvement.  The offense is looking better, trending in the right direction, and he passes the ‘eye test’ if you squint just a little.

Bryce is showing he belongs. I’ve been on the replace Bryce train but he’s proven me wrong. I believe in the guy now. The team is coming together and we just need more pieces to be able to consistently compete.
