I think regardless of if you've got your QB1 or not, you always need to be trying to groom someone to be able to step up into the QB1 position. Brady was a perfect example of how important that was. Down week 1, insert Matt Cassel, and they were off to an 11-5 season that should have had them in the playoffs. Cam showed us the opposite side of that situation. His shoulder was destroyed by TJ Watt and we've been bumbling and fumbling ever since. Having a vet presence like Dalton is nice for a few games, but you always have to be trying to get the next guy ready. -
I truly think Bates broke him. He is one of those pros that lives in the video room studying, he's like another ed reed. BY should have not started, but the NFL has decided no matter if they are ready or not, they must start and nearly 95% struggle and never get over it. -
Yep, over four years you should draft one in each year. Both lines actually. And it should be in the first five rounds. 8/20 If you have 22 positions and 9 are alloted to OL/DL then that's 45%. So out of 20 draft picks 8 should be line of scrimmage.
