oh believe me I did! I only watched tiny pieces of this game because I was putting young children to bed but I did see most of overtime and wow what a Panthers end to that garbage ass game, on both sides! Just stating what everyone already knows, the Panthers have and always will be dogsh*t

you have a very strong option about a game that you profess not to have watched.

Well look let's be completely honest with one another. You and I both know Eddie isn't it and that "most accurate" label being thrown around was a facade waiting to be blown to bits.

They were chip shots.  Cmon dude, he’s a pro.

dont make me use the word cope on you. Haha!

Bryce being asked in his presser why he pulled a Cam and didn’t try to jump on the fumble….

Because I wouldn't risk serious injury over a game that just gets you a worst draft pick

He should have tried, but I understand why he didn't, would you walk into the middle of a busy interstate for a penny ?

You aren't actually insinuating I'm coping by acknowledging the truth about Eddie are you? He's let us down in big moments before this isn't anything new. We've long known who he is. But we traded up to draft a QB at #1 overall. If we can't trust him with the ball on 4th and 1 in opposition territory multiple times then kicker is the least of our worries anyways.

Not me, not yet.  I've seen him getting better while also beating some bad teams.  My idea of a franchise QB is he can put a team on his back in the face of adversity for wins a few games a season.  Bryce hasn't come close to that level yet.  Right now he's at this marker--not losing games for us while keeping us competitive.  That's my metric for a bridge QB or a backup, not a guy that supposed to be making our team a perennial playoff contender, which is what you envision as the franchise QB.

I'm happy Bryce is doing better, but I'm thinking he's just about hit his ceiling.

Trust the process he checking boxes and y’all keep making new ones i get it . He’s not your cup of tea but he shutting a lot of people rn and looking good doing so . Btw he put the team on his back a few times since he been back

I was on the road all day but got to listen to the game on Sirius NFL or whatever it's called. Kuechly and Delhomme on the mic. Jake is a piece of work lol. Anyway, one thing he pointed out I found interesting was that the ref who was out would've been the ref in the backfield that calls holding. So that's why both teams got away with it.

Also, none of them (forget the main booth guy's name) had an issue with them not giving the TD to AT. They said it was because of the camera.

My take away from the game is that Bryce is still not it. We were in the RZ a lot and came away with jack. We were also lucky (despite EP missing FGs) as the Bucs kicking was the worst ever. Their punter gifted the Panthers so many things and their kicker also missed a FG. Baker was also off. I put this loss on them playing bad.

The play calling was fine. And we didnt abandon the run. The passing game was working better.

Poor run defense, missed fg's, dropped passes, and a fumble cost us the game.

And yes, the Bucs were playing the run, stacking the box, etc.

Not exactly a surprising strategy either. A couple of our top receiving options were out with injury and, honestly, I don't think teams are certain how seriously to take Bryce as a passing threat (which is kinda understandable).

I probably would have done the same thing in their shoes.

The playcalling was not fine. We did abandon the run. Bryce should never throw 40+ times. He isn’t that type of QB.

But he did and he looked damn good doing it.

Apparently he is a QB who can do it.

Receivers let him down today.  Chuba let him down. Run defense let him down.

But he played like a real NFL QB.

I know this bothers you ge reality a lot of people in here try to live in. You'll get used to it, though.

It's a great time to be a Panthers and Hornets fan.  At least I have the Hurricanes (loser of two straight terrible games).  Eh, well, I've always got my App State Mountaineers.  Wait, what?  Not bowl eligible you say?

cope was a joke

but those are situations when you kick the ball and take the points.  Eddie had made 41 straight at home prior to the first miss.

It appeared they were bringing the blitz a lot too.  BY handled it well.
