Kick Ass!

Really great movie, it could have been an absolute disaster, but it's actually a very entertaining and witty flick.

Nicolas Cage does not suck at all in it, and that's high praise from me. The rest of the cast is fantastic, and it's uncomfortable in all the right places.

it is a rare Cage movie indeed. Not to often do you see him in a movie and not want to punch him in the face.

I thought the movie was entertaining. The little girl made the movie. I almost peed myself when I was laughing when she pulled out the c word.

Really liked it. Will probably see it again with the girlfriend. Agreed with the sentiment that Hit Girl made the movie. Although I hope they work on her eloqution for the sequel. In the beginning I couldn't understand half her lines.

Nick Cage's Shatner super hero voice was hilarious.

And the rub-on tan scene; just delightful.

I am in complete agreement with this. It's very over the top, but there's something... comfortably entertaining... about how it's all done.

The best summary I've read is: "Spider Man and Kill Bill had a baby and named it Kick-ass."

And I too usually loathe Nicolas Cage, but his performance in this is probably the best I've ever seen.

***Minor Spoiler Alert***

The rub-on lotion scene was nice... but I actually like better the scenes in the comic book store and behind it where Katie says "if Kick Ass were here, I'd definitely fug his brains out"... that was hawt.

Edit and P.S. ... and much to my relief, the actress who plays Katie is 23 IRL.... That made enjoying these scenes much more complete.
