Basically a footnote in Panthers history. Go ahead if you feel he needs it or you need it, but most apparently just don't know why it's such a big deal.

Comparing him to guys like kuechly or cam is kind of weak. Those guys made a huge impact on the franchise. Wilks was just a guy we had as a DC a couple times and got him to be an interim. Mildly interesting, but not much more than that as time goes on.

This thread was about the 49ers failing after they fired him. That defense has declined. They blamed Wilks and clearly he wasn't the problem.

I think that it was the way that you framed it. If you had said something like "LOL @ 9ers for firing Wilks..."

Nobody is pissed off or hates Steve Wilks. It's the steadfast idea that Steve Wilks is somehow a god of football coaches and his absence is the reason the 9rers are having a bad year, when he has only ever been average at best across his NFL career. If he hadn't been in Carolina, very few here would know his name.

When you don't have an actual argument why Steve Wilks should even be mentioned in the top 100 NFL coaches, throw the race card. It's all you've got.
