Bryce Young what a crazy statement

You know what, it would have been so easy for Bryce to mentally check out after he was benched this year. So many people started to write him off, including myself. But I am so impressed with how he has responded to this and we are finally seeing why this guy was so highly touted. That KC game was beautiful and even if his final numbers didn't reflect it entirely, we all saw what WRs/TEs left on the field.

He's been vastly improved since the first game back, but the KC game was by far most impressive. I honestly think that game is a turning point and that swagger and confidence is back. I know some of you still doubt him but man I am 100% back onboard with this guy as our franchise qb. Maybe he actually was the right pick afterall.

As a bit of counterpoint, if he wanted to continue his professional career then handling it like a mature adult was the only option. Dude had been playing like absolute ass and needed to own it. It's great that he did but it's not like he didn't have a large amount of self interest in doing so.

Not picking on Bryce specifically here, as this applies to any player or even anyone struggling early in their career. And he still has a long way to go, but signs are positive.

Right now it's an anomalous good game. We'll see if he builds on it but so many people so excited about 253 yards and a TD kinda speaks to just how bad he's been.  He finally showed some poise and an ability to make some throws and put together a legitimately good game. That's a good thing. But when this is your crown jewel after 20 or so starts, I mean... we still need to see a lot more over these last few games.

i'm not nearly 100%, but i'm trending that way. He's definitely got me around 75%.

I'm at around 50% so it will take him playing at or near this level the rest of the way before I'm convinced he could be worth the investment. Sunday he played like he has and can play so he just had to keep it up. He hasn't done that since being drafted. Last season nearly ruined any hopes he may have had make it in the league. I'm proud of how he's taken the benching and am pulling for him to take the league by storm.

He's gonna end up getting a shot next year because Sanders or Ward won't fall to us and the free agency class will be dog poo.  I bet we swap Andy Dalton for another backup tier free agent and and roll with Bryce and that guy in 2025.

I think it all depends on these last handful of games.

There's nobody to replace him next season unless we go out of our way to do something stupid like trade for Dak Prescott.

The real question is, will he be play up his value enough to where the team trades him?  But, I think they'd be more inclined to keep him around if he keeps playing like he did yesterday.

He still was throwing off his back foot (throw to sanders and moore) and he was still doing the hop throw at times (Moore td throw) but when he mechanics are sound he tends to throw a nice accurate ball .   Still a long process but it would make things easier on morgan and co if qb wasnt a top need going into 2025

I keep thinking we are going to draft a dude later in the draft in the mold of what DC wants/likes in a qb.  And we are also going to probably sign a vet
