Update on Panthers TE Ja'Tavion Sanders. Coach Dave Canales said the rookie avoided a serious injury to the neck. Sanders is in the stadium today

 

For the life of me I can't get these to imbed.

The way he landed I was hoping it was just a stinger but you can never be too careful with head injuries.  The guy really showed out yesterday.

Watching the presser now.  He said he’s in the building getting worked on and they’re going to evaluate all the way to Wednesday to determine his eligibility for this week.

Really glad to hear that. I'd be extra cautious and hold him out until he is absolutely undoubtedly 100%. If that means he doesn't even play again this year, so be it. He is one of the very few players on this team that looks like a potential future core piece. Let's not jeopardize that for no reason in a lost season.

Likely a stinger. I had one once and scared the crap out of me.  I literally has zero movement in any limbs for like 30 seconds. Then tingling sensations began in my arms and legs, that's when I gradually got feeling back.  All-in-all it lasted like two minutes before I was able to hop up, but it seemed like an eternity at the time.

He really dodged a bullet. That was a pretty nasty fall directly onto his neck. Glad he’s ok and can continue his growth as a good player

JT Sanders might end up being the best draft pick from this class, which really speaks to just how good it has been.

He could be a special player, and already looks like the most consistent receiving TE we've had since Olsen

That play he made to go up and get the ball downfield is something we haven't seen from a Panthers TE since Greg Olsen. Sanders could be a star with some more development.

Fingers crossed that everything is as good as it can be. That landing looked beyond ugly.
