According to fantasy pros XL has 4 on 34 catchable balls.  Amari Cooper leads league with 11 on 42

Seems about right. Legette has dropped a few and failed to catch some he could've caught but they really don't count contested catches as "drops". A drop is a ball you'd expect some random dude out of the stands to catch. Open and right on the hands.

I vocally did not want Legette in the draft and I've honestly been pleasantly surprised so far. I wanted Ladd McConkey and still think he should've been the pick. I do think Legette has a higher ceiling though.

Some comparables..

Marvin Harrison 4/37, Tyler Lockett 4/40, Calvin Ridley 4/40, Metcalf 4/46.  Yall do know he's a rookie right?

I hear you, but it's still somewhat disappointing because this wasn't a huge issue when he was at South Carolina. He needs to put in the work to improve.

What you're calling "drops" are contested catches. We either have other guys open that Bryce is missing or Bryce trusts Legette to win. Either way, contested catches are obviously going to have a lower conversion rate.

This is what a "drop" looks like

Sorry, but these seem suspect. It feels like he’s had at least 4 just in Young’s recent starts. Just like today, we’ve overcome them but 4 for this season seems low. I don’t think there would have been a thread on his drops if he was just average. Luckily for us, we got a 1st on 4th down because Legette’s drop could have been a game losing drop.

You don't think the huddle over reacts?

His drop today went right through his hands. The defender was there but only Legette had a chance at the ball. There was no contest, it was a perfectly thrown ball.
