Forget about Bryce, Dave Canales is who we should be talking about.

I'm not sold on him just yet. He abandons the run too quickly for my liking.

That’s been my take for several weeks, however, this week I’ll give him a pass on it just knowing KC’s rush defense is so good.

The game plan was to pass the ball and they almost pulled it off with Bryce Young… wow.

The playcalling seems suspect at times because there are certain plays we literally cannot run because of the physical limitations of our QB.

The offense looked completely different with Dalton under center but unfortunately he ran out of steam in like 2 games. There were plays he called that I’ve never seen ran for Bryce. Bryce just lacks that type of arm talent.

It looks like he created a completely new offense for Bryce now compared to what he was calling when Bryce started the season.

Let Dave pick his QB and let Bryce and the new guy battle it out in camp. It should have already happened this past offseason.

PLEASE show me the plays that Bryce couldn't throw. Lol you guys are acting like Andy was throwing 70 yard bombs out there!!

I don't think it's necessary to succeed, but it's clear Bryce doesn't have the arm strength to really fit the ball into tight windows with arm alone 15-20 yards down field regularly. He can throw really well at that distance with anticipation, but he just lacks the same arm strength as some other notable high draft picks.

However, the question becomes - can he make up for that in other ways? He might be able to, because he played a very good KC D ( tho passing wise it is more middle of the pack - still a good D).

Canales deserves a lot of credit. I'm very pleased. He's definitely making strides with Bryce. I also think some of his lack of commitment to Bryce as the starter is to motivate Bryce. I think he liked what he saw when Bryce was benched.

Even the Defense looks tremendously better with just a couple more pieces getting healthy. Wonnum has made our pass rush viable again.

I would love to see this team with one more good player across the defensive front, DT or an edge rusher.

He has been having to work within Bryce’s limitations, especially in the red zone, and doing about as good as he possibly can imo.

Limitations in the red zone? You mean the all rookie catchers? or the geriatric option AT? He would have hit JT Sanders (but he was injured by that point) on the seam for a Touchdown but he had a player there that wouldn't make any other professional roster just completely whiff a well placed ball at the end of the second qtr.
