He actually threw a couple balls he previously didn't, but still left some out with throw aways in the end zone and out of bounds on scrambles. He looked much better but still limits the playbook and that will never change just based on physics

I would say his play today was average by nfl standards. I’m factoring the defense he played against.

Definitely better than the abomination that was the first few games.

He needs to be consistent and better to be worth keeping though.

I think the chiefs defense is bad, like the packers defense Bryce had a great game against last year. Similar results too. The tell will be if Bryce continues this momentum or if it’s just a blip like last years performance was

He had the best game of his career today. Let's see what he does the rest of the year. Right now this game is an anomaly.

It’d be funny if Bryce just has one good game every year in his career.

His career highlights are going to be high yardage games in losses.

Yeah those throw aways sucked, he should have just taken the sacks… man such a shame he threw the ball up and got a defensive PI call to tie the game in the bottom of the 4th. Man, Bryce finally learned to not force throws and yall are mad at him for it.

Still too soon to anoint him the chosen one. Still need to bring in QB competition in the off season. I like the progress, but there's still some things that bother me like the ease of the fumbles. No matter if he is or isn't the guy, we still need another QB in the room. Dalton is a FA and NFL ancient.

We’ll see.

Coming into the game, the chiefs were ranked 5th in total defense.

I WANT him to throw the ball up to get PI calls instead of throwing it out of bounds lol. That's the whole point of not throwing it away when you have the option

The Chiefs were 5th in total defense, they were probably the best defense we have played all season

Chief defense hasn't exactly been dominating lately. They have actually looked more pedestrian the last couple weeks. Nonetheless it's a win for bryce to play well against them especially with 2 weeks to prepare. If had of looked bad today I would have been calling for a another benching.

We still had to settle for 4 FGs.  That's the main problem with Bryce is when the field gets compacted in the red zone, he struggles.  Yes, he can move the ball between the 20s for the most part, but inside the opponents 20, we have to rely on Eddie P way too often.

    • I don't really like the phrase, "moral victory". I get what's meant by it, but does that mean that if you do the opposite (play poorly but win) it's an immoral victory? 🤔
    • I blame Evero because he is overrated. Vance Joseph created the defense in Denver that he took credit for. Wilks ran the ball down his throat and Darnold had a 103.8 rtg.  Last year we were decent in yards allowed, and horrible in everything else. Only reason? We kept giving up good field position.  He's had his choice of players to bring in since his scheme is so "complicated." Maybe he should stop trying to be so fancy like running Cover 4 on 3rd and 1 earlier and focus on fundamentals like tackling. These years of Eric Washington, Phil Snow, and Evero must have gotten you confused on what a real defense looked like. Go back and watch the McDermott and Wilks years- this dude is sofT.
    • I tried to make it a point in the opening post that I don't think the offense is a finished product. I think we still need more talent at WR, better play calling, catch more consistently, elimate ridiculous penalties,  and be more consistency in scoring points. I'm just saying, they look markedly better than last year imo. They have scored 20 or more in 6 games and 30 or more in 2 games. And that's particularly notable considering they only mustered 10 points and 3 points in first 2 games of this year and they got blanked on 0 points two games in a row to wrap up last season . I'd say that's a market improvement.  I'm not crowning them and saying we have a top 10 offense or anything.  I'm comparing them to themselves in recent history.
