Chiefs were playing straight man all game because of Chuba. Thats why the panthers were running man beaters all game until the fourth when the chiefs were gassed. But man beaters don’t work in the red zone which is why the panthers had 3 fg in the 1st half, then finally managed to score a TD with 10 plays from inside the 12.

Sure but if you’re going to spend all that money and high picks on guards and running backs you can’t have your style of play that easily dictated

I mean sure, but those play calls are the right call regardless. And it was working inside the 20. But Bryce is just a limited player, his dramatics today not withstanding. He’s Kyle Allen with a weaker arm and better ball security.

Lol Bryce needs to walk on water for you to give him a pass

It is a strange feeling seeing Bryce get so much love everywhere else too. I was pretty much done with him, but I'll admit he looked decent past couple of games and today he looked legit. I know some joke or hate but anyone who watched the whole game saw he played very well.

I was sitting like 10 rows from the field today and on the side XL dropped the pass on the sideline. That throw was an absolute dime. I was impressed. I know he dropped it but it couldn't have been more perfect. And I was happy he went right back to XL for a short gain immediately after. We need a good base with this team and it was awesome seeing them have fun.

I don't want to get over excited  just yet, but Bryce Young seemed to have turned a corner today.

Today for the first time, Bryce showed me a lot of the things Pro Scouts were seeing when they sang his praise before he was drafted.

I’m not sold yet, but I was impressed with BY today. He never looked overwhelmed. He could be one of those guys who needs more time than some to adapt to the NFL. If he continues to improve over the season he might just pan out as a competent starter for the Panthers.

This was a big test for Canales and company. One of the best teams they have on our schedule and it's after a bye, so they had more time to prepare. This may be closest equivalent they had in a while to a pseudo playoff game or even a Super Bowl. Could've so easily been the wrong side of a "get right" game as just about everyone expected.

Instead, they went a full 12 rounds with the Chiefs and it took Mahomes heroics for them to win, something which has befallen much better teams. Obviously, there's still things that need work but given what little they had, they proved it not just to others but more importantly, themselves, that they belonged to be on the same field with one of the best. The hard part is to keep this going but, I'm encouraged that the trajectory the past three games is upward.

I get what's meant by it, but does that mean that if you do the opposite (play poorly but win) it's an immoral victory? 🤔

What about an almost win?  Beautiful loss sound better.

The Panthers played with some juice, but we still lack a lot of talent on the defensive side of the ball.  The DJ Wonum effect is real, but there's little in the middle to stop teams from these 10+ yard rushes, and we could use more help in the secondary.
