I mean, I've had mustard based that is very good. It isn't my first choice.

I was raised up in SE Va and a lot of the stuff there was like Eastern NC. With the thin vinegar stuff. Some good memories of a couple of spots in the '60s that were in places that it may as well have been the '40s or even the '20s the way they did it with the pits and all.

Much prefer a little hot vinegar BBQ sauce whole hog Q but there is something to be said for some thick KC sauce on a baby back. It's like a meat popsicle. 

My personal style is wet rub marinaded for 3 days that becomes part of the bark during cooking so you can really get that flavor all the way though.

I agree. But I have seen people claim propane is just as good as wood. I think they're heretics.
