Bryce named the starter, not shocking but it’s official.

Not shocking like sticking your finger in a light socket. More like a dull feeling in my head after being repeatedly clubbed from behind.

This is when I feel Tepper's overbearing influence.

Do I think the Panthers have a much of a chance to win this game?  No.

But as someone who has bet a lot against Carolina this year... I'm very tempted to bet on the Panthers to cover that 11 point spread.  Mahomes turns the ball over a lot regardless of the defense and they are on the road against a team that is getting healthy and feeling confident.  And Jags/Lions aside, big underdogs this year have done a good job.

I agree but I wanna see that spread get bigger.  I thought the same thing and took Jacksonville +13 this past week.

Well, we're gonna watch, though, right?

It's going to be like watching Georgia play Thunder Valley Community College for a homecoming game, but hey, there it is.

We're going to lose the ones we are supposed to, going to win a couple that we might have been able to, and win one that we had no chance in heck of winning. This will probably not be that game.

But it'll be a good learning and evaluating game.

It is promising that people are coming back from injury like Thielen and Brooks. Looks like Barno will start practicing and might play in the next few weeks.

This game reminds me of the 2007 Indy game. Where we go on this long 18 play opening drive and score and then get blown out afterwards.

    • Ahh okay , thank you! Well, that counts me out as I have no rizz then. Im remarried after divorce to a woman 19 years younger than me who is hot as hell but she is just using me for my good looks, athletically gifted build and larger than normal ding dong so I got lucky there with tricking her but if I ever get divorced im in some trouble finding a new woman since I sure have zero rizz. Back in my day we called it game. I was a gamer but had no game with the ladies even in college dammit.
    • Your point about how few of the Top WRs right now that are over 6'1" is EXACTLY why we should be taking him, because he's a different kind of player that other teams just can't replicate. And I don't have all sorts of cut up tape showing his route trees or anything like that of course, and I'm not going to spend an hour watching highlight clips to find specific ones to show you, but just started watching one of his highlight reels and saw a bunch in a row that should help you see that in him. Watch this one and start watching at 1:05 into the clip, there's like 5 or 6 straight plays from that point that help showcase the speed and agility that he has, with him making defenders miss and running away from others.  Again, if I had access to all his routes, you could cut them up in a way that showcases it better, but for just spending 2 minutes looking, this isn't bad lol And this isn't even when you take into account the kind of catches he can make, every week he makes the most absurd one handed and sideline grabs that you'll ever see.
    • Yea, you're right.  I think you're definitely bias.   Show me some routes that show his quickness and explosiveness.  Getting open downfield doesn't necessarily mean you're fast, it especially doesn't mean you're quick.   Lots of wide receivers get open deep in college.  I'm not saying not to take him, I'm just saying so far I haven't seen a lot of quickness or full route tree ability that we always ignore.  Most of the best receivers in the modern NFL aren't big bodied receivers.    Of the top 15 or so receivers in the NFL this season i believe maybe 4 are above 6'1.  Quickness/change of direction and route running are much more important in my opinion in the modern NFL than height.  The modern NFL revolves around quick separation, timing, and tax.  Plus we just drafted XL to be a big body guy.
