It always amazes me when someone barrels in and acts like only one player lost that Super Bowl.

We had a stacked team. Generational players on both sides of the ball in Cam Newton and Luke Kuechly. Yet it was Kony Ealy that could have been the MVP of the game if he had made just a few more plays and kept his head on straight at the end. But he was one of the few guys that didn't look like a deer in the headlights in the second half.

It's hard for some Panthers fans to admit their favorite players from the best Panthers team in history collectively let that one slip away. Ron Rivera damn sure didn't help much either.

Refs rigged that game though and stole our momentum. Head judge was a Broncos fan. Cotchery caught the ball. Denver was offsides on our missed field goal. Cam was headhunted multiple times without flags.

It was Manning’s retirement game. I knew we were fuged when the championship round was over.

No it is fuging not. Smooth brain. Plenty of players have been out of the league for 4 years and get a spot on a practice squad. You fuging idiot.

cam has not on paper retired meaning that he has no plans to use his public image to promote said team you dumb cuck. Now fug off idiot

Also

"There is no specific protocol you need to take in order to retire. To be considered officially retired, you must be without a contract for a year from the expiration/termination of your last contract. From that one-year date, you are now officially retired and a notice will be sent to the NFL."

Cam hasn't been on a team in almost 4 NFL seasons. Hope you have a nice rest of your Sunday and don't forget to take your medication.

I agree those were certainly contributing circumstances.

It was all of that paired with the fact our team just looked to be in a fog throughout the game. Even with all those things you mentioned we still were in that game late.

Cam has not been erased by the Panthers or their fans. Cam just hasn't been beatified here yet.

For such an amazing athlete, leader and personality, he has developed a very thin skin.

His time will come. Jake, Julius, Gross, Moose, Smitty all had to wait. Just give it some time. None of them were forgotten, neither will he be, nor Luke, Ryan, Kasay, TD, Gamble...

I always think of Gamble, he seems like a very private person. It’d be nice if he made an appearance once in a while.

Best cornerback hands down that we've ever had. Silent assassin that just retired and faded from memory. The guy completely shut down one side of the field every darned game.

He deserves sooo much more credit than he gets.

He was signing autographs in the 300/club section. And I think he pounded the drum

That’s cool, I think I remember when he retired his agent explicitly mentioned him taking care of his money which I love to hear. I hope that’s still the case. I wish all players did that. Even the lower paid guys could be set up for life once they hit 3-5 million. The guys that amass a few hundred thousand will still get a good head start on life if they play their cards right.
