Cam Newton says being "erased" by panthers has hurt his feelings..

Gonna be honest with you here... the destruction of the Panthers feels pretty damn close to 100% David Tepper's fault.

And the old boys club in the NFL, or Jerry would still be here, for better or worse.

but yeeeah, Tepper’s fingerprints on everything that has failed.

I think it's completely because of our QB situation, it's so bad that having someone like Cam around for things will only showcase how much we've screwed up the QB situation since him.

The important thing is that the fans will always love him, and I'm sure he is aware of that and will be back in the fold at some point.

That's my Quarterback!

Honestly, probably so. Tepper probably feels like he can't remind fans that we had one helluva stud QB right before he came in and assured us that our days of mediocrity were over. Yeah, Cam's shoulder was already shot at the time but most of us (myself included) weren't ready to accept that. Shitty timing on his part. But the way Cam was just unceremoniously ousted and we've been through a revolving door of QB trash ever since and the line bright spot of the Tepper era was the Cam comeback game... yeah, Tepper probably feels the need to keep Cam at arm's length right now but if I was him I'd at least be man enough to reach out to him and have that conversation.

If Cam didn't do the podcast thing these days, then Tepper might do something like that, but since he does, and since Cam is, well... Cam... it's probably not in Tepper's best interests to say something like that to him.

Love Cam, he's my QB and always will be, but let's be honest, if Tepper admitted to him that he's keeping him away from the club to not shine a light on our QB issues, Cam would not be able to keep that one in, he'd end up saying something in public and make it all worse.

It's important to remember that these stories have two sides, and Cam is now a member of the media. I recall when he complained about not being invited to CMC's wedding, and later CMC mentioned that they hadn't spoken in years.

This board takes every negative story and points to it as if it's the issue with the Panthers.

Maybe. I guess I'm just looking at it from my perspective. I just try to be as open and honest as I can and if that ends up backfiring on me then oh well. Is what it is

So what would be your reasoning be for him not being invited to the Giants game, last time I checked Steve smith is a member of the media also and I see he was there. I don't think CMC's wedding has anything to do with him being not recognized by the franchise

Cam being a part of the sports talk media world now does have some level of impact on the situation. But that can't be used as an excuse. There's been an unspoken uneasiness since that offseason that led up to us releasing him.

Regardless. You need to honor his legacy. I remember hearing about this photo situation a long time ago. Whether officially retired or not if they really don't have any photos of him in the stadium that's pathetic. No excuse for that.

And I think that to a degree Tepper does not respond well to Cam's personality as a whole. This can be confirmed by how we mishandled that entire fiasco when he was released. And it is because of that IMO that Tepper sought the more quiet keep your head down type of QB in Bryce Young instead of CJ Stroud who is outwardly confident. How'd that work out for us?

No, My reasoning is that we don't know what happened behind the scenes, and all the former players who were invited have been more involved with the Panthers on a regular basis. It's the equivalent of not speaking to a friend in years, then finding out later that he's upset because he wasn't invited to your party.
