Best Offensive Line in Years

That's fair. I guess that kinda speaks to what I value most in OL play - consistency. The SB50 OL had a higher ceiling of play but Remmers was a massive liability against speed rushers as we saw in our only two losses that year. We missed out on an undefeated regular season and a Lombardi because Remmers absolutely could not handle elite speed rushers and Shula could not scheme around it. Roll the pocket? Focus on plays allowing the ball to come out quicker? Nonsense! We do what we do! We'll keep an extra blockers in and just keep running our same slow developing downfield stuff no matter what!

Yep. Even with backups coming in, this line has held up(minus Nijman who was quite bad early in the season).

That level of consistency has even helped Bryce work a little bit through his Battered QB Syndrome.

Plus, when you look at these guys, the majority of them are fuging road graders. This is a line built to dominate at the point of attack and break Chuba on these runs.

Honestly, I can't wait to see Dalton back with the current group of WR's and the team in a little bit more of a rhythm. It might actually be a fun offense to watch.

I would be interested to see what a dual threat younger guy with a high-mark toolkit could do behind it.

Bring in a physical specimen who dropped in the draft because he has coachable deficits and/or went to a smaller school and is an unknown. Put him behind a line where he knows his life is safe and give him a pair of game breaker RBs and WRs. Let Andy walk and have Bryce as our bridge.

This sounds like a very poor plan. If you want a developmental guy, not a problem but Bryce is not a bridge. Andy(or similar) is a bridge.

You still need a QB that isn't an immediate limitation in the offense. Bryce unquestionably is.

I’m personally pretty interested to see this Rourke kid play against OSU this weekend. If he propels Indiana of all places to the CFPs, I think he warrants a hard look at that size and given what he’s done this year.

Hopefully he curb stomps OSU. Would love to see the traditional Big Ten powers fall apart with the influx of Pac 12 teams.

Bryce is such an albatross and It feels like I’m sitting in the ‘light is both a ray and a particle’ college physics lecture once again. Like that lecture (Ha! I still made an A, Dr Muir) … can’t figure this ish out. If Andy had another year on his deal then it’s easy. I love me some Andy, even through his rough couple games. How expensive is he going to be is the question. Can we sign both him and Horn? What is the 5th year or tag hit?  If not Andy or Bryce, then who? Literally, ANYBODY is better than Bryce, but he would have to be traded with his cap hit. Right? Maybe this is the dog and pony show for a team wanting a project?

I don’t want him here any more but the problem of what to do with Horn looms large.

The Robert Hunt signing was one of the best FA signings this franchise has ever made. It's shocking what one signing can do for the rest of the team. He's elevated everyone around him, is a culture changer, and is a great player in his own right. Everyone in the media and some within our fanbase were snickering at that signing, stupid 'ol Panthers making him a top 5 paid Guard in the league. It's been an incredible move! That combined with Damien Lewis has completely stabilized the line and made the Panthers fun to watch again.

Yeah it will also just be fun to see if Indiana can make this meteoric rise and knock out the annual powerhouses.

We can get another established veteran like Dalton or Flacco, I think. That is more my speed than a bust 1st round QB gamble or some career backup. Get someone that has done it in the past and can manage the offense effectively enough to develop young players.

I think Bryce would probably claim another coaching head if he started all the games next season.
