1st year til the next November is literally the leash for most drafted qb's lol. Plus I was talking more about physical ceiling. Like great he didn't throw picks because he knows what throws he can't make anymore. He's not going to get more velocity or better at qb scrambles etc. I'm not sure what more he can improve on given the circumstances

He can improve on his knowing there is actually a pocket to step into and where it is and will be.

He can 1000% still improve his mechanics and maybe eke out a little more zip. But there is a high chance he can't see when he is in the pocket and and would have to find launch lanes more or less to see downfield.

I haven't seen anything that tells me he will solve it and when he gets against the better defenses they won't let him run around much, I am pretty sure.

It is going to be screens, flairs, nearfield throws with a little downfield sprinkled in or forced in if we are in a shootout (lol, it will be a shoot down).  And a ton of handoffs. (same as what we have been seeing basically)

his mechanics are too flawed to fix at this point.  They are just embedded in him

I like Bryce and it would be a pleasant surprise if he's able to take the next step but based on what Dan Morgan said before the Germany game, I don't think the front office has faith in that happening. Dan and Brandt Tillis both being very non-committal to him should tell you that they plan on either getting rid of Bryce in the offseason or at least bringing in a worthwhile QB to compete with Bryce. Being a serviceable physically limited game manger after we poured all our resources into getting the best version of Bryce isn't what the team is looking for at QB.

Bryce has been playing better no one can argue against that but you can't win consistently in the NFL with a QB who can't throw the ball down the field and that can't throw for more than 200 yards a game. We don't have a downfield passing attack and that falls solely on the physical limitations of Bryce.

He is better now on the short drops which is why they are being called I think - because they limit him to the 1 2 3 plant ball is out - no time to think.  Thanks about as far as it has gotten. And you are right they are not really right. But at least they aren’t that really wrong crap he does when left to take a deeper drop.

Some of those 10 and 15 yard throws are pretty good, I think that is his limit though. Slightly better velocity when the form is correct. But he is bumping up against that ceiling already, there isn’t much more to see I don’t think.

That's a good backup qb. At some point on a competitive level you need a guy that can hail mary, qb sneak, launch it +50 yards from the pocket, and run convincing play action. No serious team is going to take away those options from your playbook before the game even starts.

I didn’t know about the sneak but this other stuff we were saying for why you don’t take him.

Just saying we all know he's not going to jump over the pile on 3rd and goal ever in his life.

I was being straight, I had never considered that he was so small they wouldn’t sneak it with him, until it happened.

Simple, just line Hunt up behind Young and when he gets the ball Hunt grabs him by the seat of the pants and throws Young over the pile.

What’s Daltons long pass? 35? The receivers have potential but right now they are ragtag motley crew that drops too many passes. This is the only team in the league that hasn’t had a busted coverage wide open bomb.
