Canales still not sold on Bryce?

It would be worth it to keep using the rest of the season to see what happens to the offense with Dalton  and Bryce. Experiment and see if it opens more up with Dalton or not.

I don't think it's a question of whether Dalton has a role in the offense next year as much as a definitive answer on whether Bryce holds it all back. I think we all know he does, but Tepper will need quantifiable evidence to show that we would be better off going another direction.

He's been fairly consistent about not naming the starter until late to keep a competitive advantage + evaluate practice reps.

Kind of weird that folks are upset about Canales making Bryce earn starts after all of the butthurt over him being "handed" the job his rookie season.

Let's just dispense with the company line about Andy's sprained thumb like he had it amputed and just acknowledge Bryce is starting because Andy stunk up the joint and Dan Morgan and Dave Canales wasted the offseason making zero attempt at bringing in another young QB that could remotely challenge anyone.

wth does "Having a curiosity about Dalton" even mean lol

It means Bryce is his QB and he's not stamping anyone as starter for the rest of the season.

Don't let these 2 wins vs the Saints and Giants fool you. Bryce about to get exposed next Sunday vs the Chiefs.

    • I imagine starting Cade Mays has everything to do with him already being under contract next season and Christensen not. If they feel like the performance level is similar, they probably want to see if Mays can play well enough down the stretch to win the starting job going into next season. Plus, yeah, Brady Christensen is an excellent depth player given he can play literally every position on the OL at a solid level. Personally, I'd like to see us extend him regardless just for that alone. He might legitimately be the most versatile OL in the league.
    • I’m hoping Moton will retire a Panther. He’s been a steady presence on that OL for years and it would be ashamed to let him go.
    • Hunt would be having a pro bowl season if he was on a playoff team. And Lewis will be here another 2 years with that contract he got. I don’t think at this point guard is an option in the near future.
