Updated 2025 draft order

Recommended Posts

A bad franchise will be a bad franchise.

Who tanks to help another team to get the #1 pick.

Then they can't even tank for themselves the following season.

I don't care if people don't like this QB class if Sanders/Ward turn out to be great like most of the rookies in this year's class we are going to look crazy yet again.

I don't care if people disagree this is just the truth. We are a bad franchise in desperate need of a franchise QB. I'm sick of every other bottom feeder finding their QB and we are stuck with the same outlook every season. We haven't had a franchise QB since Cam. It's time to find that guy.

But hey we winning meaningless games we changing the culture baby. Yet still viewed as the worst franchise in the NFL.

You are building a culture one way or the other.

If you keep fighting regardless of anything, you build a tough team that won't quit.

If you start trying to talk, you create a culture that quits

Sorry. Try to defend it all you want, but what you are holding on to is the absolute worst kind of culture for any team.

And the whole concept is just stupid. Sorry. Only the worst of team cultures quit and call it strategy.

Culture is what we need to build, and I feel that's what we're doing with these close wins. Losing breeds loser mentality. We lose and get a higher draft pick, draft said coveted player, then insert him into a losing culture.

If your strategy is to lose, no one wants to play for you.

I would always rather have a team that fights than who is told to lay down.

A team that fights is one to still be proud of. A team that chooses to win is a true embarrassment greater than any other.

Fight on.

I've seen this team "fight" and it looks like a pillow fight at best. If they are upset at being told to lose, how about not losing by 60 points the first 2 games of the year

Carolina Panthers and meaningless wins to lose out on franchise players.... Name a more iconic duo

A bad franchise will be a bad franchise. Sad but I saw this coming from a mile away.

We will never get our franchise QB under Tepper. This franchise is hopeless.

The #10 pick in the draft is a slap in the face. There aren't 10 teams worst than us in reality.

Yay, this is what i want...outside of Bryce somehow turning into Aaron Rogers (which he won't).  To win some more games and stay away form this extremely mediocre QB class.  Coincidentally, Bryce playing a little better will likely force the staff to give him one more year to prove himself.  Then we can focus on building the rest of the roster and when Bryce flames out next year, we can turn our focus to the much better QB quality and depth in the 2026 draft.

I don’t get this “mediocre” QB class talk. Who is to say 2026 or 27 Draft is any better?  The last good QB class was 2020. The only sure hit since is Daniels. Y’all are some smartest guys in the room projecting will be until it’s that time.

Dropped to #10 meaningless wins against bottom dwellers with no shot at postseason is the Panther way for ruining draft stock because "winning is all that matters."

What else matters..being able to pick from the top prospects without having to trade up. Spare me with the "no pick is guaranteed" because I rather be able to pick from the top 5 prospects then have to worry if #10 will pan out. If we play the giants and the banged up saints yes we are champion ship contenders but if you evaluate progress against the worst teams then you can't really determine if you're getting better

That Denver game almost half of those yards came on the final drive. Against a healthy top 15 chargers dud..a healthy saints..dud. But beating the giants just to feel good and lose draft position is counterintuitive

Your List is not correct.   We are 9th .  New Orleans is ahead of us currently due to head to head, then points scored in those two games.  etc.      All of this is mute in week 10

What position were these current QBs picked

Mahomes

JACKSON

Purdy

it might very well be a blessing in disguise if they are not drafting in the top 3

besides, I doubt they win another game, so don’t fret

You pulled the 3 luckiest drafts to prove a point.

    • Strange, every news article and tweet I just searched all mentioned waivers. It is definitely his sixth year of at least 6 games. All I was trying to think of earlier was at the vet min could he beat out Bryce in camp next year lol. He's kinda got the old Darnold issue where he can obviously launch deep balls and qb run at a level Bryce will never achieve, but it sounds like he would be content being like a Josh Allen backup who doesn't throw the whole game plan out the window if he has to come in for a series or two. If we had him and for some reason still wanted to start Bryce he would kinda do what Justin Fields was doing the other night with Dangeruss, coming in for designed runs and maybe some play action/triple option rpo things to go deep. That would be so obvious and sad though. At least Russ can still sling it 40 yards in the air with a flick of the wrist
    • Too late to edit above but the quote is from this Diane Russini article in the Athletic: https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5941684/2024/11/23/russinis-what-im-hearing-the-day-the-jets-fell-apart-and-the-broncos-rallied-belichick-best-fits/ Okay.. there you have sorry I left that out the first post.  Also waivers keep the contract intact. That is the major difference in released and waived. It's all in that link from the other post.
    • Okay so I am reading something in The Athletic and it says that Jones had to pass through waivers. So I don't know. I looked this stuff up when we were number one there all offseason and I thought it said 4 years in the league got you vested, as they call it.  Vested gets you out of waivers as I understood it. I probably got something wrong, but when I think about the slack quality of journalism these days I wonder about that. So I went and looked, again. Well, well.  For everyone: "When a player has accrued at least four seasons in the NFL, they are considered a vested veteran. When these vested veterans get cut, they are released and their contract is terminated. When a vested veteran is released, they are an unrestricted free agent that can sign with any NFL team, and the team that released them doesn’t need to provide any additional compensation." It runs it all down here, where the quotes came from: https://www.profootballnetwork.com/waived-vs-released-nfl/ As far as Jones, the team turned down his 5th year option so I knew that meant he had 4 years in, because they re-signed him anyway, after turning down the much cheaper extra year.  The Athletic is owned by the New York Times so I shouldn't be surprised. That paper was an institution once upon a time but they let their standards go.
