Jags play Titans twice, Raiders and Jets

Jets and Dolphins play twice still

Cleveland and Miami play but Cleveland will most likely lose out

Vegas still has to play the rest of the NFC south

Giants will lose out

Patriots play Miami and the Colts

Cowboys play Giants and us

Point is there are still a lot of wins to go around just by these bad teams playing each other. However, one more win or god forbid 2 and we’ll be at or around 10

This is actually the updated version

Would anyone be surprised if the Panthers tried to trade up again for a QB (Cam Ward)?

They always viewed the Bryce experiment as a 2 year set back if it didn’t work out. Nothing surprises me with this organization anymore and I could see them trying again

We are not good, but I don't know if I've ever seen the bottom of the league this bad.

There's about 22 actual NFL teams this year, and the bottom 10 are absolutely awful. The well run organizations are eating the poorly run organizations alive right now. That's always been the case, but I don't know if I've ever seen it this pronounced. The only saving grace for the 10 awful teams is that we all seem to play each other this year, which is making it look a lot better than it is. We are actually trending up a little bit (not much, don't blow this out of proportion), but like every one of those bottom teams is absolutely miserable to watch. They are completely incapable on at least one side of the ball.

Best case scenario we lose out and New England wins a few more games. I think that's enough to put us in position to land Tmac in the draft.

If we keeping Bryce might as well get him 1 more elite weapon on offense. Then address the defense for the rest of the draft.

It would be very Panthers to immediately make the same mistake again. Not saying Ward is Bryce but that would be a very unwise decision to throw away a bunch of draft capital again.

I still just don't know about repeatedly chasing big bodied receivers.  I've not watched him a whole lot yet but I don't see much quickness or explosiveness in him.  I'm not even sure he has the long straight line speed a lot of these big guys have, but I could be wrong.

We’re in dire need of some speed

Luther Burden or Isiah Bond please

Don't let @tukafan21 see this.

I'll speak for me, but Tmac is not just your regular big body WR. He runs routes like a smaller WR. He's a deep threat, medium threat and he a guy you can run screens for and he makes something happen as a ball carrier. He's like Mike Evans and AJ Green combined.

It would be hard to pass him up if he's on the board.

This so much!

Need a guy that can make people miss in a phone booth and saucy off the press. Lateral quickness and straight line speed. I don't care how big he is. Diontae Johnson could have been that guy, but apparently he's a bit of a head case. So hopefully the front office at least sees the need too. Deven Thompkins fits the mold. Not sure he's very good though. Hopefully they find a way to get him involved.

So we are at #10?

With the tenth pick of the 2017 NFL draft, the Kansas City Chiefs select Patrick Mahomes.  The top qb picked that year was Mitch Trubski.

Miles Garrett was the number one overall pick that year and he has had a excellent career.  Of course, Cleveland is still terrible.

Building a winning franchise is not about who gets the highest picks.  Its about who makes the best picks, and especially in the later rounds.

It is all about who picks the best but that’s a bit obvious.

Also, below are a few examples right out of our own draft picks showing where having a better pick is very meaningful. There are plenty of idiots like Chicago, Cleveland and the Jets, who like us, take a Young over Stroud. That said, having the top pick did mean it was our choice. If we picked Stroud, Houston was screwed for not moving up but we had a guy named Fo

Anyway, here are the very recent Panther examples:

2020 - We had 1 too many wins so we got Derrick Brown 1 pick after Herbert. Brown is a solid player and I’m glad to have him, but let’s be honest that Herbert would have been much, much better and we would have skipped over the travesty of trading away CMC for nothing, giving away DJ Moore and trading the farm for Young. One draft slot away from an entirely different NFL team.

2021 - We had 1 too many wins so we got Horn instead of all pro tackle Sewell, all pro WR Chase or choosing to trade pick 3 (one less win and we got there) to SF for 3 firsts and I think 1 third. Horn is a good CB, but our team would have been much better with Chase, Sewell or all the 1sts.

2022 - Great end of the year run due to an easy schedule and not tanking for a QB by trading Burns to the Rams, Moore to the Packers and others. We all know what happened here and damn would it have been nice to have say Arizona’s pick and watch Houston choose Young!
