Updated 2025 draft order

People aren't saying no to drafting a QB in the first round without reason. Every team you mentioned , Texans/Commanders/Patriots, all got their QB of the future in a "loaded" draft for the QB position. This draft does not have that. I agree that regardless of the thoughts related to how good or great this draft (or any draft is), drafting a player is still a gamble. In a "loaded" draft for the QB position we drafted a dud.

I agree that we have to keep attempting to get the guy. But to say F it and draft one in the first round every year isn't ideal. Because you have to put a team around that rookie. The Bryce trade up not only hurt us by him not being the guy, but we traded a good player and assets that could've been used to help build a roster. So we are back to having to rebuild the roster as well as finding the franchise QB. Tough task. Don't think its cut and dry just draft a QB in first round until you get him. I agree that you do have to find one. I just don't think its easy as find the guy. Cause now not only do you have to find the guy, you have to find the guy that can do it without help. Which is even more of a diamond in the rough.

So when Sanders and Ward go on to be franchise QB's what's your excuse then?

It seems we do this every year. This is not the year to be drafting a QB. Well don't complain when this is the year that gets you another losing record.

Is next year class supposed to be elite or something? I only hear people talking about Manning and he's definitely not playing in Carolina.

So what do we do then wait for 2026?

I agreed on drafting a QB is a gamble regardless of a good draft class or not. I agreed on you have to keep trying to get your QB. I was just telling you the possible reason why people want the Panthers to pass on a QB in the first round this year. Its Morgan/Canales that will get to decide their fate. If they fall for one, draft him. If they don't, then don't. Don't just draft one because you need one. No one can say for sure whether ward, sanders, or any other QB in this draft will be a franchise QB. What if we take one and he doesn't work out again. How far back would that set us? I don't think we should be scared to take one and I don't think we should just say right now to focus on 2026 for QB.  Go through the routine/norm of the off-season. Scout and do our research and make the best decision for the team moving forward. If they think that is a QB first round, fine.

If Ward or Sanders is available then I am fine going for a QB in the first. If not, nah. But having Bryce start another year just fills me with dread.

Sanders aint coming here

Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders is expected to be one of the top picks in the 2025 NFL draft, but his dad and head coach Deion Sanders revealed he will ensure that his son lands in the right situation.

During an appearance on Speak, Coach Prime was asked if he would step in and stop Shedeur from being drafted by the "wrong" team, and he answered affirmatively.

"Yeah, but I'm not going to do it publicly, I'll do it privately," Sanders said.

I saw that live and he said he would talk to them in private, but he wants to hear the plan for his son.

People just writing us off because of Tepper. Our Oline is legit all it takes is for Canales to sell Prime on the future. Maybe they sign a Tee Higgins. Show Prime that you're serious about winning.

Gonna have to draft Higgins a new hamstring if we got him. Dude always has soft tissue injuries it seems.

If he tries to do that I have a feeling the league is gonna tell him to butt out.

Yeah sure some teams are not gonna want to have to recruit a QB like its college BUT you got add in desperation. One team WILL fall in love and go after him. A HC or GM on the hot seat will look past deion and draft him.

You are making the mistake that all desperate GM's and coaches typically do right before they get fired. Also the same mistake that keeps bad franchises that way for a long time. Also.....LITERALLY THE SAME MISTAKE THAT LED TO US TRADING UP TO GET BRYCE YOUNG.

You can't get so hyperfocused on one position(even the most important position in football like QB) that you just draft a QB and any QB. This leads to wasted draft picks and years of torment as you are stuck in a development cycle for nothing.

Sanders and Ward are unquestionably high caliber NFL propsects. They are also not particularly universally viewed as "can't miss" guys. If we deem them as the BPA when we are picking, so be it. If not, also fine.

Fanboi out all you want but when it basically leads you down the "I HOPE WE LOSE ALL THE GAMES!!! I NEEDZ MY GUYZ!!!!" road, it isn't going to end well. That's not being a fan of a team, that's just being a player fan.

Also, if we don't get our franchise QB this draft....oh well. We got the next dozen or so drafts to keep taking cracks at it. Same as anyone else in the same spot that we are.

Delaying your QB position is how we continue to suck. We had 2 years of Bryce he's not the answer!

My goodness people do you not see other franchises get their QB's and change there franchise overnight. Why can't we do the same?

Texans/Commanders/Patriots all got bright futures because they drafted a franchise QB.

We just wasting years by not addressing the most important position in football. This fanbase is becoming blind. We haven't fixed the QB position since Tepper took over.

Enough is Enough! Go get your damn QB!

If a good QB was available to draft I'd say go for it but I don't see the Panthers being in position to draft one in the first round at this moment.

Mr. Patience at it again!

That's the problem with this fanbase. They comfortable waiting/hoping for change 2-3 years down the road. Then when those years pass they still preaching the same nonsense.

We aren't going anywhere without a franchise QB. It's 2024 wake up people! Our Oline is legit RIGHT NOW! We have young WRs with potential. Go get your QB!

What good is a LB when the offense still being led by a little kid. You want to change your franchise go get your QB.

Then be prepared to draft a QB the next year. When the best one would surely not play here. Then what?

This fanbase keeps preaching patience, while other bottom feeders are finding their QB's. Panthers fans are becoming blind. The losing has caught up to the fanbase. We preaching patience when we have been a bad franchise ever since Tepper took over.

But because you don't like Sanders or Ward we should pass on a QB. Then when they become franchise changers you feel bad.

Everyone knows this franchise will continue to suck until they get a franchise QB. Chasing LBs and DEs isn't helping us. We can address the defense after we get the QB.

Cmon Hepcat don't let the blind lead you they blind for a reason!

The qb position has been eliminated due to the low probability of the success of selecting one early.

This part got me hollering the most

    • Best to see Icky in the position we drafted him in to see if he continues making progress. All signs point to Canales/Morgan staying on board and so decisions on whether to move him elsewhere on the line will probably be done during the offseason. Personally, I'm more concerned about a more long-term answer at safety and Moton's spot. Love the guy but he's a FA after 2026 and he'll be 32 by then. Kinda has that sign of having to let a player walk one year too early.
    • All I am saying is IMO if we were going to rework or extend his deal I think it would have happened by now.   Just feels like they are going to bite the bullet and let it run its course
    • I mean me speaking honestly per normal- RT is not even on my radar for needing fixing....it sorta should be, but I feel its around 20s in "hey this need attention". Motown could have another 5 years of solid play leftd in his body and mind. I know something needs to done with his contract, its had money pushed back into the late years like three times now. He got like a 38 million cap number cause rhule, frittterererer and this past season Dan deferred money.  I think he's been "healthy" for most of his career and seems to work hard at being able to play. He's a good player to have on the team. I got no idea how this plays out.   We need to have friendly bet about Christs next contract- I say he gets 8million per and 40% guaranteed. If he gets below that, you are the true kungfu master- deal?
