this is one of the most the stupifying thing about it.

do you just tell the players to not try? half ass it? put in the worst players? no game plan? intentionally throw games?

@Champagnepapi704 @CamWhoaaCam

I get it you can't comprehend trying to get in the best position possible to draft who you want versus having to pick what's available. By winning games against teams just as bad.. but tanking looks like what Daniel jones did against us. But enjoy your "culture wins" see how that helps you against the Falcons, chiefs, etc

I always assume that people who haven't had success in their life by working hard to get it are the ones pounding the table to tank. Anyone who has worked hard to achieve success in an unsuccessful situation knows how much effort it takes to get there. That's why successful people talk about those scenarios all the time. They are proud of those accomplishments.

I get the fans perspective about draft picks, I do. We have all been there about wanting a better draft pick. But, you know, if you just have good talent evaluators, you will get good players. There has never been an NFL draft where there was only 10 great NFL players and all of them were top 10 draft picks.

Herm Edwards(although not a successful HC) said it best....

I get what you're trying to say, but I feel like it's a little different in the NFL.  There are players that, no matter how hard they work, or how bad they want it, will never be able to be a good NFL player, in fact most of them.   In the NFL the lace up your boot straps mantra only really works when you have enough talent to begin with.

The thing is you can't just trade away every player that is decent. At some point you need a competitive roster even if you're willing to deliberately weaken the team around midseason to try to get a higher pick. That doesn't work if you've got nobody on the roster on the first place.

We do need a QB room reset - unless Bryce proves he can be a decent backup the rest of the season. While a high draft pick helps there, we of all teams should realize it's no guarantee.

As to deliberately tanking at this point in a season - that's very, very hard. It's much easier with 1-3 games to go, where you bench starters to avoid injuries etc.

Lol so you think that Daniel Jones trotted out on the field to lose deliberately so the Giants could draft his replacement???

thanks for not answering how you accomplish this. was that a 'yes' to telling everyone to half ass it and intentionally throw games?

i see it...you take three steps backward so you can take a gamble on a QB and a few other early picks in the other rounds.

The guys that don't love it and aren't otherworldly talented, they don't last at all. The guys that don't love it and ARE otherworldly talented, a lot of them don't last that much longer.

Make no mistake, the NFL is work. Hard work, at that. And if you are a fringe guy, there are hundreds of guys that are champing at the bit to take your job.

@Champagnepapi704 you think daniel jones intentionally tanked that game? that they said "hey...no TDs today. only throw INTS."?

Nope the RB did. Here Carolina your ball kick the FG you win.

What does it say about Bryce that he could barely beat Daniel Jones playing awful?

But you confident in him as the future lol. We are going nowhere with the little kid under center. Him beating 2 bad teams isn't changing the fact we are still a bad team.

Winning meaningless games at the end of the season isn't helping us. It's just lowering our chances at getting a QB to replace the bum Bryce.

so the RB deliberately fumbled the ball?
