Playcalling was conservative because our defense played well.  First quarter Bryce was good, we need to see that for at least two to three quarters

It was conservative because Bryce neuters the majority of the playbook. Even when Dalton was playing like poo it looked like Dave was running a completely different offense.

Everyone wants to poo all over Evero but if it wasn’t for his rag tag group of practice squad players we get blown out the last 2 games.

I assure you I'm not looking for an echo chamber.

You expect your QB to make that throw to Coker. But that was the only really bad play by Bryce IMHO.

Again, we were down 2 lineman and are committed to starting 3 rookies, and we're against statistically a very good defense.

Bryce played an efficient game. He got the win.

No other team fans in the league is having a bitch fest after a win given those circumstances.

Bryce should have had 2 TDs. He didn't play lights out, but he absolutely didnt play bad... I don't know what sport people are watching here.

Get rid of him after the season. No one is fighting anyone on that.

But Jesus Christ, we won the game with what any other team in the league would consider a skeleton crew from a talent perspective on both offense and defense.

Glad we can find some common ground.

It's nice that there are actually a few teams somehow worse than us for a change. That's my main takeaway from the last 2 games.

Now let's just see how ugly things get the rest of the way.

How many passing yards would Dalton have against these crap teams we played? I’d imagine it would be like the Vegas game.

I'm not so sure. He was so bad the last couple that it's hard to tell.

I'm not naive. We are going to lose more games, and almost certainly blown out against the Chiefs.

This defense is still awful. We got lucky that Daniel Jones is playing awful.

We still dont know whether Bryce can be the long term QB (probably not).

But even taking Bryce completely out of the equation, there is a lot more to be excited about this year than last.

And while Bryce didn't look like the #1 pick today, he was efficient and smart with the ball playing with 3 rookies starting. None of these guys were considered starters when the season started (except maybe XL).

It wasn't a bad day overall across the board. I'm proud of this team hanging in there bc we've lost almost every other similar game for as long as I can remember

Do people honestly think we are playing with a full deck on offense???

Context matters

Every win this team can get is beautiful

We need another good draft, FA, and getting Brown, etc healthy.

Maybe then we can be legitimately competitive next year, even against the top teams

I completely agree the last two wins have shown us despite our circumstances with the roster we absolutely still can compete on both sides of the ball.

Everything keeps going back to QB because it's the most consequential position on the field. It's unfortunate that discussions end this way but what are ya gonna do at the end of the day? As of right now we have only scored 30 points 3 times between now and last season and 2 of those were when Dalton played. No matter what happens we have got to introduce new life into this QB room. I assume anyone here should be able to agree with that.

In the meantime I'm just happy to win two games in a row.

With whom as the qb?   Do you not see the conundrum?   It doesn't matter how good the team is without a quality qb you cannot consistently win.  And brother Bryce ain't it.

I've been here as well off and on since the inception.  Never thought I'd see a time where I wished the Charlotte Observer would bring back their panthers message board.

Bryce is making all the throws Canales is asking him to make.  Both are making very good decisions and running the game in a way that gives us the best chance to win.  Lean on the oline and the running game.  Bryce is still young and still learning as are Sanders, Coker, XL and really the whole team since this in the first year in Canales's system.

I don't know what more you want from a guy who has been what he's been though and played as bad as a QB can in the first 2 games before he was benched.  I want the coaching staff to continue to build him, coach him and do what they can to help him improve.

Yeah, I wish he was already one of the top 5 QB's in the league but he's not.  He will hopefully continue to improve and become worthy of his draft position but if he turns into a great game manager while we win games with the run game that's fine with me too.

If people want to hang their hat on Bryce being the worst draft pick in history and watching every game for for anything that will remotely give them a hit of that hate juice, then you are not going to enjoy your Sundays.  You'll either be miserable because you're right or miserable because you're so wrong.

He is making throws any QB could make he finished the game with the lowest yards per pass attempt of any qualified passer in the entire NFL. The entire league.

If you want to set the bar lower than anyone else that is perfectly fine but just because the discussion you expect doesn't exist here doesn't mean anyone else is beneath you. It's perfectly fine that other people have standards.

There comes a point when you have to look at BY game and ask yourself, based on his performance, if he hadnt been the 1st overall pick, would he be starting in this league, or even a backup ? For me, the answer is simple, no. Bryce's game stats are what most QBs accomplish in a half or less on a regular basis. We can win games, but the ultimate goal should always be to make this team a contender. I'm over the feel good wins. At some point you have to accept reality. To compete in a pass friendly league you have to be able to throw the ball with consistency, accuracy, and strength. We're not doing that and we're not getting a winning season, much less into the playoffs, until we do.
