That's the problem. Average starter get PAID and then that cap noose dooms your team. Look at our opponent for a great example.

Agreed. You have to be smart when it comes to making those decisions.

But, we also WANT Bryce to keep getting better because in that scenario we can get more compensation for moving him.

That's where I don't get the obsessions with rooting against him. That's literally a lose-lose.

I’m happy Bryce is playing well, but I still want Cam Ward

Completely fair take... just can't understand the straight hate when Bryce is playing good with a bunch of rookies.

Nobody nationally follows this team.  If this were ARod playing like this with rookies, he would be glazed for producing with nobodies... any rational NFL viewer should be able to admit that

Everything has to be taken in context. We're playing a bottom of the barrel pass defense and we have folks spiking the ball over 113 yards through three quarters. That kinda says all that needs to be said.

I mean Jones doesn’t have a ton of air yards either.

The realty is that Bryce's improvement puts him back about where he was last year, and even steps beyond that only gets into low-end starter territory. Feel good for him? Sure, I guess. Feel good for the team? Still not anywhere near good enough in the long run and need to see it continue week in and out for the rest of the season. At the end of the year, if the improvement continues and consistency is starting to show, then perhaps that is worth feeling good about.
