November Schedule

15 games in 30 days, including 3 back-to-backs.

Ottawa and St. Louis next Saturday-Sunday; followed by Philadelphia and New Jersey 3 days later. Finally, finish the month with a home-road back-to-back against Florida.

No doubt we'll see Martin in net for at least 3 games- each of those b2b's. And the Canes are the first team since the 1960 Bruins to put the same lineup on the ice every game this far into the season.

Yes, we're already to November 9, but the next 3 weeks are gonna be rough. Tighten up your chin straps boys! Ice up!

The remaining schedule for November. Last 15 days of the month includes 3 back-to-backs and a tough schedule of teams to match. Unfortunately, I think the fast start and unexpected success will quickly remind us that this is a new Hurricanes team, not without its issues. And I think we'll learn what some of those issues are over the next 2 weeks; 15 days; 9 games. Frankly, I'll be surprised and satisfied if the Canes come out of these possible 18 points with 8.

    • Yeah, I am not 100% against trading down but it needs to be at the right price. Also, because this appears to be a draft lacking in a lot of elite prospects, trading down could potentially backfire(as it always can, I suppose) or net a lower yield than typical. I just don't want to be fumbling around and reaching, which in the Tepper era has been a CONSTANT problem. The organizational impatience(and incompetence) been murderous.
    • Yeah I said that earlier all or most of these guys are broadcasting or doing the little Huddle show and stuff like that, they are affiliated this season.  I think Cam went in using the ESPN tack because it stuck it to Tepper and didn't criticize a player and that worked for him. Plus he ended up working for ESPN.....
    • Sports are a different animal. It's gladiator poo. You wouldn't go out and put the uniform on of the best burger maker in your neighborhood either. So, when we watch these athletes being amazing and giving their all, it is for more than just a check. The guys that are truly driven and love these games, they are doing it for many more reasons than the money. Boiling it down to a simple transactional thing is simplistic, at best. So, yeah, I can understand how Cam can feel jilted when other great Panthers are trotted out and honored by the organization and he isn't. Especially considering he is overwhelmingly the best QB to have ever played for us and literally put this franchise into the national spotlight because of the player he was, the things he accomplished and the personality that he is. So....yeah, I would be upset about that too if I were in his shoes. The money, that the business side. That other poo, that's personal.
