First off. 99% of the people in this fanbase want to have a good team to root for and be happy doing so. One thing that irks me and this is not directed at OP necessarily but just an observation in general. People who point out the negativity and ignore the elephant in the room that is the win percentage of this franchise. Worst in pro sports. The fans go as the team goes. Such is life.

Now on to the subject at hand.

Most people myself included would accept incremental improvement while we develop what will become our core. Just give us a break from the embarrassing top to bottom blowout losses.

One thing that cannot be understated is no matter how Bryce Young plays the rest of the season. If there's one thing that could make me just tune out from this team altogether it's another year of making little to no effort at bringing in competition at QB. No. More. Coddling. We need a second and maybe even a third plan. Look at the Falcons they paid Cousins and still drafted a first round QB. People here clowned them but at least they had a real plan and didn't just kiss Kirk's ass.

Bryce playing just good enough to give the team enough hope to roll with him again next year is the worst possible scenario.

I disagree, Worst case is him completely sucking.

If he is good enough to be good enough for next season and we end up with either the top pick or second pick we can ransom it to a team who wants a QB and use the draft capital to rebuild the team.

We have a good OL. We have a good RB and another highly drafted one. We have promising young WRs. We've setup the next guy by trying to build around Bryce.

I actually agree, and think it would be a great environment for Sanders or Ward to grow in. Just making the point the others hate the idea of drafting a QB this year.

It's always going to be scary. A lot of them are going to bust. That's just reality. But we're actually a decent landing spot for a young QB now. If we draft one and he fails then it was a an issue of talent evaluation and/or talent development not a roster readiness standpoint.

This is funny. In 2023 post draft if you had said what if he doesn’t do all that you are getting jumped by the stans.

I’d rather wait and see this actually happen before I consider planning around him being part of the team after this year.

Bryce plays better every game and finishes with decent stats and a few wins? Doesn't have to set records, just keep improving.

DJ Wonnum is back to being healthy at DE and helps generates pressure and a few sacks with Clowney?

Adam comes back as the slot receiver and between him Coker and X, they start getting around 300+ yards as a group per game?

What if JT Sanders is the real deal and is developing into a top 10 TE?

What if MLB Wallace is a more than solid player in the mold of a Dan Morgan?

What happens if Brooks is a great 1-2 punch with Chuba and they average well over 100 yards per game?

What happens in Horns stays healthy and we have a true shut down corner?

What is the O-line continues it's dominance?

4 wins or 6 wins, maybe even 7, doesn't matter. The team shows improvement and plays like a team and it was injuries and a new mentality needed by the team and HC to turn this around. Would you be supportive? Still negative (same old Panthers)?

Looks like to me we had a turn around year to be positive about and few more add ons (draft & FA) and this team could at least compete for the playoffs in 2026. Health is #1 and having a system in place for a 2nd year would be huge. No matter how the year finishes, those points are what I'm rooting for.

It's more than I could have hoped for. And I will cheer and admit my errors of judgement along the way.

I am skeptical about Bryce being a guy who can put a team on his back- maybe a team of pee wee players. That said- if he does however shore up the holes in his game and develops and improves along with the offense enough to win some games and make us competitive i’d love it. The goal of any organization- and the desire of its fan base- is to win.

As for BY’s future- I don’t think his job should be safe if we notch a couple more wins. We need another option- Challenge the roster as they say and our 1 pick QB should not be immune to that.

That's why I never saw an issue with them taking a QB. Sitting him and letting him develop like Love behind Rodgers. It's good for these guys to get some time to sit and learn.
