Kevin Mathews, C/G, 6-3, 298#, Texas A&M

Reason? Genetics.

Bruce Mathews son. Clay Mathews cousin/nephew depending on if your talking Jr. or Sr.

He could be a very good pro. Hangartner material at the very least.

I would have picked Joe Webb, QB/WR from UAB, but he's moved up to the 4-5th round range on some draft sites. Big, fast and smart. Josh Cribbs 2.0?

I am not going to do a whole damn team but there are 2 I do like.

Daniel Te’o-Nesheim DE - Washington. People conplain about measurables but his 3 cone drill was amoung the fastest of any DE at the combine and he did 29 reps at 225. He constilally produced at a high level in the pac-10. He could go as high as the 5th but anywhere after that i think he is a steal.

Mike Kafka QB - Northwestern. Did you see the Aurbun vs. Northwestern Bowl game. He had 2 int. in the first half and came back in the second and if their kicker was worth a damn, would have won the game. He just does't seem to quit. I like him. Oh, and Jaws likes him to.

Not bad reasoning especially for OLineman. We could use some depth at C too.

I like Kafka (seems like a lot of people do) as well wouldn't mind a late round flyer on him.

Solid list CTPanther,

My top 3 sleeper's would have to be:

#1 SS - Darian Stewart - South Carolina, Projected 7th - FA

*Analysis

Stewart possesses the strength, toughness and bulk to effectively play in the box at the next level. He's a competitive performer who goes hard through the whistle. He can be an explosive hitter who is comfortable playing close to the line and is solid in run support. Tough as nails.

#2 QB Sean Canfield, Oregon State, Projected 7th - FA

*Analysis

Accuracy: Good to very good accuracy on the variety of NFL-caliber routes in this offense. Consistently hits his receivers in stride on crossing routes, posts and down the seam in the intermediate zone, as well as over the top on fly routes. Good accuracy and timing on the deep out. Throws the ball before the receiver has turned and consistently hits his man low and away from the defender and near the sideline. Can be a bit lazy with his footwork on screens, resulting in some poor throws underneath. Guides the pass as he is shuffling back, too often forcing the receiver to catch low passes that disrupt the timing on these plays.

Arm Strength: Doesn't own a howitzer, but has plenty of arm strength to make every NFL throw, including the deep out from the opposite hash. Can zip the ball into tight windows for underneath routes. Throws a beautiful deep ball with good trajectory, making it an easy catch for his receivers to track over their shoulder.

Setup/Release: Fluid drop back from the center, though he also has experience from the shotgun. Quick set-up and delivery. Locates his target, sets his feet and throws with an over-the-top delivery. Ball comes out of his hand properly -- high and quickly.

Reading Defenses: Generally good poise in the pocket. Steps up when pressured outside and exhausts his possibilities through the air before he scrambles. Keeps his eyes downfield and moves through his progressions as he drops back. Willing to stare down the barrel and take the big hit to complete the pass. Has to learn the throw the ball away, rather than take the sack. At his best in the red zone -- where he threw 18 touchdowns and no interceptions in 2009.

#3 DT - Brandon Deaderick, Bama, Projected 6th - 7th

*Analysis

Run defense: His greatest strength. Very good size and strength to hold up to the run. Good use of leverage to anchor. Locates the ball and has powerful hands to stack the offensive tackle and shed the block to make the play in the hole. Only moderate lateral quickness and balance, but good effort to slide down the line in pursuit. Disciplined defender, works hard to keep contain.

Explosion: Flashes enough initial quickness off the snap to disrupt the timing of the play. Good upper-body strength to rock the tackle back.

Strength: His most impressive trait. Powerful defender. Can control the blocker at the line of scrimmage, shed and make the play in the hole. Good leg drive as a bull-rusher and to anchor.
